• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear tire wear

If you got 19,000 on the factory rear tire why would you not go with another just like it? My first factory tire on my "14 RTS barely made 5,000 miles. the second is slick and needs replacing with just under 14,000 total on the bike. So the second one has made it about 9,000. If I could get...

    Front wheel alignment

Yep! the alignment on a spyder is key to a "happy" spyder. Couple of things to do: Verify the real wheel alignment (visual with the belt being about a credit cards width from the flange). Do this after riding in a straight line for a couple of blocks. When you are turning or backing up the belt...

NEED HELP FAST - Hitch Shaft came apart, need Spyder Accessories contact info?

To me the grade bolt would be important as well as the diameter of the bolt. I have never heard of this happening on a can am hitch. Anyone else? I believe the can am factory hitch is sleeved where the bolt slides through. I can't see it this one is sleeved or has edges where the bolt slides...

So why were the mirror threads censored and closed?

must have been a mixup Perhaps it was just a simple mix-up on phone number or email or something simple. I know for a fact that I have called you on your cell and have never had a problem hooking up. I called you once with a question and you answered and helped me out,, at the time you were...

2 more day untile RT is delivered.

good for you on the new spyder Nothing like the excitement of something new especially a Spyder. Good idea to get it and ride for a while to see what, if any, mods you may want. Mine is black as well. I went simple with stripes. Not hard to put on, just take your time. larger wraps may be more...

New Spyder Owner and Forum Member

Welcome Congrats on the Spyder. A two wheeler friend of mine and I took a trip to Waco TX back in October to visit his brother. I ride a '14 RTS. Had a good ride from upper East Tennessee. We have already planned to make another run out there this spring. As far as the battery situation, as...

Idler Wheel Kit / Belt Tensioner Accessory for F3

BRP Steve, thanks for the info on the F3 idler wheel kits. This is a good step in the right direction for BRP. I am on my second RTS, the first was a 2010 and my present one is a 2014. lets face it, I believe all spyders have belt vibration at certain speeds and would all benefit from idler...

    Keurig, anyone else addicted ??

Bunn for me I tried the Keurig over a year ago and it didn't work out. Ended up giving it to a family member. I thought I couldn't live without a Keurig so ran out and bought one then come to the conclusion that one cup at a time is to expensive when compared to the Bunn that I have had for...

    New helmets and comm units

heads and helmets I've had a lot of helmets, very few heads are the same shape and size. What feels great on me may be a terrible fit on someone else. The best way is to try them on and if your lucky to find one that feels good maybe you will be very lucky and it will feel good after a few...

Remeinder.. That "parking" brake - really isn't.

weak brake Mine is not much of a parking brake. It is fine on level ground but on a slope I don't trust it. I have adjusted it and will check it out again soon.

    Clutch Shocker!

SE clutch life I have to agree on this thread that the clutch plates were defective and the problem would not be from ware. Now that the 1330's have been on the market for over a couple of years, Do we have an average life for the SE clutches? I am curious to see if a lot of us need to start...

    SM6 vs SE6

clarification I understand what your saying Idaho. The 622 can-am trailer is tucked in behind the spyder very well and, as you mentioned, it is a good aerodynamic design a- be- it a very expensive trailer so it SHOULD be designed well. I have pulled this trailer for many miles over the past 5...

    SM6 vs SE6

In the background just hanging around, long winded. I haven't been on the forum much for quite some time but I thought I'd chime in on the subject of the "under powered" 1330 RT. Also throw in a comment about the SE transmission. First of all I've owned a 998 RT SM and now have a '14 1330 RT SE...

    Anyone using eco mode? Beneficial?

Be careful in ECO mode ECO mode cuts your acceleration and response by 20 to 30%. If you don't believe it simply drive on a level road and engage the ECO mode while holding the throttle steady. If your doing 65 mph watch your speed drop. Mine drops to 56 or so. I can do everything it does with...

    NewF3-T

Yep! you'll not get the HD sound with the inline 3 cyl. engine. Actually inline 3's sing their own great song when wound up as in the Triumph Triple. You might pull one of the plug wires and make a 2 out of it  JUST KIDDING>

New to the Site and Seeking Advise

I have ridden two wheelers for over 50 years, I also thought changing gears manually was a "must have" and my first RT, a 2010 model, was a manual. I put over 25,000 miles on that one and traded for a 2014 RTS, I tried out the semi auto and found it to be awesome! You should at give it a good...
