• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT-622 Trailer gasket seal

Super glue has worked fine for me on several occasions. Then wipe with a silicone lube to keep it from sticking to the lid. Mike in KY

    Need a replacement radio antenna.

This too may be too late, but I replaced my OEM antenna with a hidden unit off eBay. So I've got the antenna and the boot for sale if anyone needs one. PM me and make an offer if interested. Mike in KY

    Antenna Hole Cover for RT

Antenna Hole Cover I removed the OEM antenna off my 2012 RT-S about a year back and replaced it with an $18 hidden antenna off eBay. At that time the only "plug" available for the right side hole is a plug for a 2010 RT in Magnesium color, as that was the only year/model/color that came...

Xtreme HID Fog Lights on a '12 RT-S

I'm trying to install the "H8 Xtreme Digital HID Conversion Kit" for the fog lights from KBcarstuff on my 2012 RT-S. Naturally I can't find the old posts now, but it seems like I have read that some guys have said that the HID's will draw less current than the stock OEM Halogen bulb. And it...

    Bloomington, IL to Deadwood, SD

We are planning on heading to Deadwood three wheeler rally right after the Fourth of July, leaving from central Illinois and headed up to that area of SD. Anybody have any suggestions as to what roads to take, while staying off interstates as much as possible, and what there is to see on the...

    Why?

Grass in the Road That really ticks me off too. My philosophy is, "Grass doesn't grow in the road and shouldn't die there either". I've lost track of how many guys I've flipped off for doing that. Unfortunately they are too stupid to know why I they got the "one finger salute", but it makes...

    spyders at pocono raceway

My Spyder at Bristol It's a good thing there's not a lot of banking at Pocono. Nanny sure didn't like the 24+ degree banking at Bristol Motor Speedway. About two weeks back I had the pleasure of doing a couple laps at BMS. The first lap was basically on the apron, but coming out of Turn 4...

Back Up Lights to Turn Signals on an RT

jwulf74, Thanks for trying, but my '12 RT-S came with the 4 wire square plug on the bike and I then changed the trailer over to the 4 wire square harness, so your suggestions won't work for me. Seems like sometime back I saw something about a remotely operated switch that when pressed would...

    2 Weeks from today

Ruthie and Spyderfest 2015 You folks have a good time Ruthie. Tomorrow we'll be leaving for the Bristol NASCAR races and then head south. We made it to the last two, but we'll be somewhere in Florida this time. Mike in KY

    Oil filter torx screw size

Torx or Hex Both filter covers on my '12 RT are 5mm hex. I bought a set for 3/8" drive, 6" long, with ball ends. Works great for other fasteners on the bike too. Both drain plugs are 6mm hex. Mike in KY

Back Up Lights to Turn Signals on an RT

Backup Lights Shucks, I wish there was an easy way to have backup lights on my 2010 RT-622 trailer, now that I changed it to the 4 wire harness to hook up to my 2012 RT. Right now I have red LED's in both the backup and turn signal sockets behind the clear lenses, but they only function as...

Shorty Antenna compared to stock antenna ...

Hidden Antenna I broke the OEM antenna on my '12 RT trying to get into the trunk without properly taking off the half cover from the front. Repaired it and then it was 1/2" shorter but I could tell no difference. Then I went with the hidden antenna off eBay for $18 bucks and have no...

Powerlet Outlet and Left-side Passenger Hand Grip Removal

I have a '12 RT and put a standard 12 vdc cigarette lighter receptacle in that spot on the left side and a Powerlet receptacle in the same area over on the right side. Been too long ago to remember details, but it can be done. The rear side panel has to be removed to get that plastic panel that...

    RT Windshield Trim Pieces

I traded the chrome ones off my '12 RT-S to a buddy of mine that has a '10 RT. I still wasn't happy with the color/finish, so I painted them with Rust-Oleum's #248914 Truck Bed Coating. Virtually all the OEM gray powder coated castings on my bike have been powder coated flat black or painted...

    Made my own "dual fill"

JT's Dual Fill Well I applaud Frank and his frankness. MZEMS2, Have you actually tried to use this rig? My guess is that you will probably lose a pound or two every time you try to disconnect that style of "quick disconnect". If that were the "way to go", then JT probably would have used them...

    That Sucking Sound

Forgot to say that I already have JT's prefilter and I don't think it made much difference. I've had JT's filter on for about 8K miles and I'm thinking it's getting louder. Is there anything else that could be wrong that might have caused what I'm thinking is an increase in "that sucking sound"...

    Tires

FWIW, a 215/60R15 Michelin HydroEdge running at 28 psi on my '12 RT-S makes the two agree with one MPH difference. So I'm as happy as I need to be. I too will stick with that size, mainly cuz I got another HydroEdge waiting in the basement just like it. Mike in KY
