• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Los Angeles Times reporter

The article on the BMW has a lot more information about the "luxury" items on the bike. He just talked about the frunk on the Spyder and did not include that the RT version had much more storage and you could add all kinds of bells and whistles on it, or buy the Spyder with all of the luxury...

    found on EBAY

I disagree. If you were to do the stress analysis on the area that they placed the eyehooks in, you will see that the joint was not made to be "pulled" on. Bounce up and down, and having a "push" affect (driving forward FAST) on the joints sure. They did not design the Spyder to go backwards at...

:agree: This type of invention is not a good one. Anyone that would add this to the front end of their Spyder and "tow" it up the ramp of a trailer better be ready to pay for many alignments on your front end as well as maybe replacing some bent pieces. The area is meant to support the trike...

For all the cops out there and others that have lost their mind performing this task.

Wow. You should have called an ambulance for him hitting you and had the guy arrested for striking an officer. Putting your life in danger and that idiot gets a walk? I'm sure that you will back up the State Attorney if he ever needs your help, since he had your back for that problem. Most...

Spyder RSS and very cold temps. Cold Start Temps to get out of garage.

Iceman31 - I would go with Marker. He is a fellow Canucker and would best know the conditions of the Great White North. I am a Canucker too, but I have been in the USA since '96, so I have not dealt with my Spyder and the cold weather. :dontknow: Worked in Fort MacMurray in '94...

    WALMART

Its a type of sentry gun - I think that it may be the Phalanx (automated turret for missile defense). Most navy ships have them, even the little ones in Canada.

    nice night for a ride

It was 52 in my area and my Spyder was begging me to take it for a ride. So I did - and 52 in December is MUCH different then 52 in September. But still cool that I could ride in December. In Canada, I would have to put skis on the front and chains on the back tire to make it go anywhere...

That is his backup warning noise - special add-on, no charge. Need to grease something.

VSS Fault and engine shutting off

Well, I appreciate your knowledge and insight. Thanks for sharing this with us.

VSS Fault and engine shutting off

Thanks for the quick response - I added a 3rd brake light. My licence plate light cover went missing so instead of paying $70 for the replacement, I upgraded to a licence plate light with an additional brake light. I read about the replacement LED lights for the original brake lights and where...

    Bad dealers

I just had my Spyder at a new dealer, and walking in to this dealer I was TOTALLY impressed. All he had was Can Am toys! He was actually trying to sell me a side by side when I picked up my bike after it was looked at, and hopefully fixed. Plus he only charged me $60 to align my wheels and...

VSS Fault and engine shutting off

Back from a dealer I did breakdown and sent my toy to the repair shop. Told them what was happening and they started to look at it. The figured out that my alignment was off (not sure this had something to do with it, but my tires were showing uneven wear) plus they said that the steering...

VSS Fault and engine shutting off

I am pressing the brake, normally slowing down, changing to 1st gear, and give it a shot of gas. However, I have had the fault and engine shut down while I was coming to a stop off of a ramp. Not gas, just brake and gearing down. Never has the bile gone into limp mode. Can you explain what you...

VSS Fault and engine shutting off

Interesting - and thank you for sharing. The mods that I have done to my Spyder were done after I started having the VSS Fault and engine shutdown. I added LED lights on the front of the bike and I added a brake LED. But nothing directly to the engine. And I know that there have been some...

BRP is not alone with issues.

You just took the horseshoe out of the first one and put it into the following trucks. :roflblack: I was a Saturn guy until they shut down. Did not like the bull:cus: that most dealers put you through when buying a car, and Saturn it was "this is the price - like it or not". First Saturn was a...

nice alternative to the gps for the bike and much cheaper

Sure is. :doorag: But when you need to get un-lost, there could be a problem. Its not cool to be a guy on a motorbike asking for directions. :D So a GPS will help you stay manly.

    RTS trailer hitch

John Did you install yourself? Did you find it difficult? Or a POS? Just wondering.

    RTS trailer hitch

The only after market hitches for Spyder's that I have seen involves removal of the axle - so if this is a show stopper, then it looks like the only hitch available is the one from BRP.

2013 ST Limited headed into shop again

Wow - sorry about your bad luck with the Spyder. I am having a problem with mine - but NOTHING like what you are having. Keep on top of it, and trust your dealer to fix it. Have you started a case with BRP? If not I would ask your dealer to send all info to BRP and I would call them once that...

Battery Tender Jr. observations and suprise

I did not know that the RT is pulling power even when the key is in the "OFF" position. Its seems like this is a bad design - and this is the reason some have battery tenders on their Spyders when they stop riding. Sorry - did not know that just having a bike sit around for 2 weeks could drain...
