• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Any Shifting Issues Out There?

I have a 08 SE5 that was manufactured in July of that year and which I purchased in August. There have been some issues with the SE5 but most of the issues have a resolution. I too have had the clutch rollers replaced, the Gear position sensor replaced and I have added the grounding wire from...

I use a disc lock on the rear disc. It also has a small but loud built in alarm in the disc lock.

    Let's keep it cool

ataDude no diode should be necessary since the 12 volt power that goes to the fan through the relay does not come from the computer but directly from a 12 volt power source/bus wire etc. The signal that controls the relay however DOES go through the computer. Since my switch and my 12 volt power...

    Let's keep it cool

My project for this upcomming week is to work on a manual switch override for the fan. My plan is to run a 15A fused 12 volt line through a switch right to the 12 volt power line going to the fan. I plan on tapping into the fan 12 volt power line AFTER the relay thus in essence having the manual...

Warning bike goes into auto pilet, and accellerates itself.

Nater1 the problems I was encountering were corrected when my dealer replaced the clutch rollers at the direction of BRP. Not sure if this is the solution to your problems however.

    A STRANGE THING

According to the shop manual for the Spyder the turn signals will automatically stop flashing after 30 seconds if the turn is too shallow to cancel them. I know this from reading teh shop manual when I accidentally filled by multi function switch casing with BB's form my handle bars.

    Need Sparate Fan Control Switch

CHASBADGER did you ever get a response to your question about running a fused and switched hot wire to the hot wire of the fan between the fan and relay. This is the way I am considering doing it and just wanted to know if you received any comments that this is the right way to go.

    This should get people talking

I must say that Lamonster has a lot of connections with BRP and "other" sources (so just where did the picture come from???). My guess, based on the optics of it all, is that Lamonster is actually working for BRP or in conjunction with BRP in a clandestine stealthy kinda way to promote the...

The city of Flint is going Crazy tonight!!!

Hey DLTANG did you hear the one a couple of years ago about a Toronto Fire truck being stolen from the parking lot of a home depot. When they caught the guy who stole it about an hour later he had sideswiped several cars and put the truck into a ditch north of Toronto. As if that doesn't get bad...

Magic man thanks for the idea. I never thought of using fishing weights but you are correct these are large enough that they wouldn't get through the small hole !!

Turn Signal Auto Cancel not functioning

According to the shop manual the signals will get cancelled by one of two variables. The first is when the steering angle sensor detector detects that the handlebars have been turned a set amount and if this is not the case then after a 30 second timer has elapsed (page 392).

    Intro

Joey the spyder is a great machine for allowing those with physical challenges to get out on the road. Heck there are even spyderlovers members who are in wheelchairs and still ride. Like Scotty my knees bother me form time to time (3 knee surgeries and age catching up to me) so riding with my...

Turn Signal Auto Cancel not functioning

Fastfraser I did my aux lighting exactly the way AtaDude did his. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=37703&postcount=2 I ran power from my aux fuse block to a waterproof toggle switch mounted just below and to the left of the gauge cluster. From the switch I ran two wires (one...
