• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "whooshing noise"

I heard a similar sound recently upon downshifting/slowing down to enter into a parking lot... when I got back home, I pulled the panel off and checked my oil level and found it was off the stick (remember to check it right after shutting the engine off and after taking at least a short ride to...

Breakfast meetup Sunday July 6 Conroe Texas

If you'd do this a little later, say brunch time around 10am next time, I'd come to it. ps. I passed 4 Spyder's up near Lake Livingston today while towing my SeaDoo up to the lake just after noon (black dually truck pulling red/black SeaDoo PWC)... don't know who they were, but lookin good...

    RS windscreens

I have the 14" Can-Am windshield and like it just fine. It blocks wind and debris from my neck down basically, so my helmet still gets plenty of airflow thru it's vents and scoops and such to keep me from sweltering in the Texas summer heat! And it looks much better than the OEM 10" windshield...

    Spyderpops Bump Skid

Get and apply a pair of wildlife warning whistles on the front of the Spyder (I put them on upside down beneath the air-scoop/fog light areas). They come in chrome or black, about $9 at Walmart. While I can't say if they really work or not I have them on all my vehicles (including the Spyder)...

vibration and engine noise 013 rs

I strongly disagree with those promoting ultra-high rpm's before up-shifting. I'm almost at 6K miles and doing just fine up-shifting between 3.5 and 4k rpm's each and every time (and this is in full compliance with the Can-Am operators guide). I only wish it would automatically downshift a few...

Clutch or Electric Issues on RS 2010!!!!!

Sounds very likely dealership messed something up on that "major tune-up"! Dealer is going to have to figure this one out and fess up.:cus: Please do let us know what the dealer discovers... I don't believe in "coincidences", they made a mistake somewhere almost certainly. ps. What's your...

Poll for head count....Memorial BBQ at Flamingobabe & hotglu

Hey I have a question... I remember reading that motorcycles don't have to pay tolls on the toll roads and can even use the HOV lanes without a passenger. Is that true? And do Spyders get the same privilages as motorcycles then? Beltway 8 looks to be the easiest route for me to get from...

    RS-Se5 and high RPMS

55mph is exactly 4000 rpm's in 5th gear on my 2012 RS SE5 (and has been since I got it at 880 miles on the odometer). And I mean, EXACTLY 4000 rpm's, on a level roadway no passenger mostly emptry frunk. I keep tire pressures at ~5 psi over recommended max pressure. I prefer to upshift between...

2012 rss se5 rolling while off in 1st gear??

It might not roll easily, but it *will* in fact roll if pushed or pulled firmly enough the clutch is free with the engine at idle or turned off... the only thing that will prevent an SE model from rolling are the wheel brakes (or rear parking brake) being applied. Since the parking brake can be...

    Wind is killing me

The wind is your friend... I'd swelter in my helmet if not for the wind blowing into the vents! UGhhh! I've only ridden down to about 38F though, and it was still ok but my fingers got a little too cold (even with thick gloves on)... I drive my truck if it's any colder or rainy though. I put a...
