• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Feathering the throttle?

While riding yesterday, I came to a roundabout. Had a hard time going slowly around the circle--either got no throttle or too much. First gear about 10-15 mph. Any thoughts?

    Cruise control switch malfunction??

Finally got on the interstate today and got into 5th gear after a few weeks of back country roads in 4th. Tried the cruise and every time I pushed the switch down to Set it went Off. If I was able to push it down so the green Set would light up, when I released it Cruise turned to Off. In over...

More on the SE tranny - creeping and lurching ??

OK, so I'm new to the SE - only a week or so. I do like it but have (at this point) 2 questions. I'm following the 29, 39, 49 mph guidelines religiously - haven't been near an interstate yet so no 59 into 5th. I'm noticing that when I am in 1st at a stop, there is no creeping forward at all and...

    Formosa covers for RT

Have used Nelson Riggs full cover on RS for two years. It is now quite brittle feeling. Never really fully waterproof. Ultra guard just received for RT is very different material - almost soft-like. No rain yet to test it. Fits very snug over everything, NR was very loose fit. Just my always...

Thought of trying a different GPS than Zumo 660

Thanks for all the advice - I'm going to stick with the Nuvi and get some Ram mount parts for it - and carry a plastic baggie in case of rain. :D I figure I can go through 4 of them for the price of the Zumo and I really don't use all the other bells and whistles.

    Glove box "bag"

Has anyone tried the Hoepnel glove box bag? http://www.bigbikeparts.com/Inventory/Navision/H41TPC-2BK?catalogNo=1 Looks like a cheap and easy way to have your GPS on board although not in the line of sight.

    Formosa covers for RT

Just received the Ultraguard cover for the RT. Very nice, fits over everything. Little tight getting the long antenna through the Velcro flap but that will change when I put on a stubby antenna later this week.

Thought of trying a different GPS than Zumo 660

Well, it was a good thought - inexpensive Nuvi at Costco, a couple of Ram parts and mount it to the hole location on the adjustable handlebars. Wrote Garmin to ask about the power cord and received a mild scolding in return. Yes, I knew it would not be waterproof but as I don't ride that much in...

    $500 rebate on 2013 RT-S

The rebate is in place of the repayment of your first 2 payments if financed. Found that out the other day when I bought mine. $27500 plus $689 frt and set-up (discounted), less the rebate. Got $1500 of accessories at 20% off. I would get up (down) to Grand Junction if I were you or at least...

    GPS - Garmin models?

I currently have a Garmin 2455 on the dash of my motorhome and a 276C that I used on the RS just traded in. Have tried to see how it would mount on the new RT but at a loss. The 276C is a large clunky model more suited to mounting on a boat or larger car. The new GPS models are all the slim...
