• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Daytona 500 F3

Different My switch doesn't activate unless a rider is present. I can actually press down on the passenger seat and hear it "click". I guess that means the Daytona doesn't actually have 3 modes ( normal, passenger, sport) . Question: How do you enter the "Sport" mode ? Is it controlled...

    Daytona 500 F3

Switch Use I have the same switch on my F3S... I'm guessing the passenger select switch may serve the additional function on the Daytona for keeping it from entering "Sport mode" if a passenger is present... Would seem to make sense from a safety perspective...

    Daytona 500 F3

Switch use I believe the switch is present on all F3 series spyders. On mine I know it's used for suspension and stability control changes when a passenger is detected... I thought the only difference with the Daytona is a "sport" mode that could be activated by the rider ?? im a bit skeptical...

F3S Power Port FWD accessory power

Follow-up solution Ok, after looking at a couple different options I decided to go with a surface mount dual 12v/sub combo plug that mounted on the angled backside (fwd) of my gauge cluster. The surface mount 12v/sub socket set was attached with 3M 30lb double sided tape after cleaning all...

    Daytona 500 F3

Why ? Doc, do I understand you to say, they detuned the engine with a passenger seat installed.... You gotta be kidding right ? That would be about the most asinine thing I'd every heard if BRP did that.... :banghead:

F3S Power Port FWD accessory power

Thanks for the feedback ! I looked at at that location as a possibility... Having an accessory plug in front of my gauges seems to be the only "con" with placing it there. The garmin power plug is pretty decent size. What do you usually power off of the port and is it used while driving ...

    F3 cornering

Couldn't agree more.... Couldn't agree more... Coming from a 2011 RSS before purchasing the F3S I was used to whipping the Spyder through turns and grew very comfortable with the handling... The F3 however has taken that to a whole new level. Changing the rider position further aft and lowering...

F3S Power Port FWD accessory power

I'm trying to determine the best location to install a 12V power port off of the provided forward customer accessory wiring... I have the rear under seat 12v socket but want a dash area mounted socket to provide power to other accessories. Curious where others have mounted their power sockets...

Tank Protector - from WrapMySpyder - My Impression

Received and installed my tank protector from WrapMySpyder.com today and am pretty pleased with the end result. The protector is a bit pricey at $59 plus S&H ($6) but the product quality is good and is provided with clear and concise instructions along with alcohol wipes and a few extra decals...

    Your old bikes?

750 Nighthawk I had the same 750 Nighthawk and agree that it was a great bike ! Honda did a really good job with the balance of ergonomics, performance and function with the motorcycle. I'd certainly call it on of my very favorite two wheelers ! The inline four was such a sweet motor...

RS rider finally test rides an F3

The upgrade ! 2011 RSS, SE5 owner here who brought my F3S home last weekend... Was going to trade in the RSS but just couldn't go for the $8500 the dealer offered. Figured I'd hold it until Spring and sell it outright to a new loving home. Love several features of my ole RSS over the F3...

Replacement Key and programming cost ?

The long story... Its a sorted tale but I did get two keys however one of the keys didn't work... HELP, Need some insight from the Spyder Big Brains regarding 2011 RT to RSS bar swap

HELP, Need some insight from the Spyder Big Brains regarding 2011 RT to RSS bar swap

Research Ive looked at the illustrated parts breakdown and like you said, it looks like the 3 to 4 hole adapter is the biggest hurdle to overcome. I have a 1" riser already and would consider taking it to a local machine shop to have them utilize it as a starting pattern to fabricate an...
