• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Let's keep it cool

Remove the lower deflectors on the RH side panel. This will allow more air flow through the radiators and allow the bike to run cooler. The only draw back is your RH foot may get a little warmer. This comes direct from BRP.

    Official Paint Codes

A good body shop can mix paint based on BASF code numbers. I have had my local body guy mix me the grey already. The only problem was with the yellow & red. These are a 3 step paint process in which you have a base coat, pearl coat & then a top coat. This can not be mixed into the small touch up...

    TIMES SQUARE MEET UPDATE.

When ever I'm in NYC I stay at the Best Western Presidents Hotel. It's on W. 48th St between 8th & Broadway. It's in the heart of the theater district and at the beginning of Times Square. There is parking on the next block north on 8th & 49th. It's inside and secure and the hotel has a deal...

SE5 CREEPS FORWARD WHILE AT IDLE IN FIRST GEAR

This sounds like a different issue other than a creep. The fact that the bike stalled at idle does sound like there may be another issue with the clutch. The rollers do engage the clutch and if the are binding it could cause a stall at idle.

SE5 CREEPS FORWARD WHILE AT IDLE IN FIRST GEAR

We have been in contact with BRP on this. It is normal to have some movement at idle AFTER the bike has been ridden. Similar to an automatic transmission in a car you do need to cover the brake while stopped in traffic and/or idling. The clutching is activated via centrifical force and engages...

    SE-5 shift lock-up.

We had this situation with our demo. Possibly a power issue to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) or a faulity TCM. Our TCM actually failed. We replaced it and have not had an issue for over 1200 miles. Bring it to your dealer and the sould be able to duplicate it and verify that it is the...

    belt tension

The correct tension with the sonic tension meter from gates is 1400 - 1500 Newton. Be sure to set the meter to the proper specs first. The belt should be just off the inner flange by 0.5 - 1.0mm. I have been putting them all at 0.7mm:thumbup:

    vibrations

Sounds like an un-balanced tire. Take the unit back to your dealer for inspection. Balancing is extremely critical and you must place the weights in the proper location on the rim, otherwise it may interfer with the tie rods.

Low speed noise, and bogs off the line

As far as the bog, is the unit warmed up or cold? You should let the unit warm up so at least 1 line is visable on the temp gauge. The noise could be 1 of 3 things. Brakes (especially e-brake), belt tension or belt alignment.

    Overheating

Check your coolant level. Make sure that it's up to your minimum line on the bottle. It up front on the RH side. If it's up to the proper level check for adiquite flow through the bottle once your temp rises. You may have a stuck thermostat.
