• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Kuhmo ecsta ast

The best I have done with the Kumho is 11K and I am as conservative in my driving as I can be (used on our 1st Spyder 2008 GS SE5 and our 2nd 2010 RT SM5, 100,000 miles combined, probably 95% Interstate miles). I run 26-28 pounds and keep a watch on the tire to be sure the middle is not wearing...

    Motorcycles and Waving

For us, waving to or being waved at is kinda cool, but it is not a requirement, that if not executed, will ruin our day. I have seen too many threads posted where it seems people get really stretched out about one opinion or other involving when, how, why to wave. We don't ride to see how many...

Just a rant about My ST limited tool kit.

If one expects to do major job on a motorcycle with the provided tool kit you will be greatly disappointed. Loose screw, you can do it...loose nut, you can do it. A loose nut or screw can really put you in a fix if you cannot tighten it. That is why you have a tool kit. And as others have...

    TATT2R GOT AN UPGRADE!!!

Good seeing you again! Jennifer and I looked at one, sat on it, and neither of us felt comfortable with it. So in the end we ended up getting a new Pearl White 2014 RTS SE6 on Feb 26th. 57,000 miles on the 2010 RT SM5. Stay safe and ride with the wind.

    Front tire replacement schedule

If your Spyder, from looking at model year, is 4+ years old, I would replace them. From my experience, the rubber is drying up and what threads you see, you have lost the safety factors for yourself. Your well being is not worth the few more miles you might get out of them. Of course, that's...

    I can't counter steer

Count the wheels...one, two, three. Many of the twisty riders use body lean to keep them from being thrown off the Spyder from the counter force of the turn. I can't tell you how to do this because I am a very conservative rider. But counter stearing is not to be had on a Spyder, from what I...

How many Spyder Ryders are Retirees? How long and from What?

Retired from the USPS in 2007. After vegetating for 4 years I went back to work for a local casino. After 3.5 years walking the floor as a slot attendant I was accepted in Accounting as a Revenue Auditor. 32 years after getting a degree in Business I am finally using it. 71 years young and...

    Replacing drive belt 2012 Limited

Is the belt damaged or do you think it's time because of your mileage? You should be able to just remover your back wheel and remove the belt and replace. I would buy from from a CamAm dealer.

    Flashing engine light..

I had the engine light come on during a vacation run. Rode the bike to a station for better lighting. About 100 yards the light went away. So whenever it showed up again, I didn't worry.

    2012 RTS runs like S***

My thoughts, vacuum hose to the Throttle Body. With so few miles on a Spyder I am thinking the hose dried up and has a hair line crack.

    Belt Drive

Our 2010 RT SM5 had 57,000 miles when we traded in February. We live at the end of a 2 mile caliche road. I ride to work everyday (5/wk). Never had issues with the belt. Didn't do anything to it.

got my first thumbs down with the F3

Love it when some ape hanging riders go by and give me thumbs down. It's all to each his own. If they would not be caught dead on our Spyder, the feeling is mutual about the ape hanging bike. They may feel tough today, but one day they will humble themselves to the fact that tough is only for...

Something I HATE about the Spyder!

I clean mine with the wet rag/dry rag combination and a bucket of clean water. It's not tooth brush clean, but clean enough for me. I would rather ride it. If anyone comments about the shape it's in, THEY can pimp it up.
