• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Handicapped Spyder Ryders.....Roll call!

Now, can you remove the other panel so we can see how its connected to the fill cap? I'm wondering if you're using flexible fuel line? Now was that "elbow" on the original filler hole just siliconed in? Or did you thread that plastic elbow to screw on to it? One more, what about venting? The...

    My Unique Mods

Can you post a pic of the filler tube routing? I want to do this ASAP cause I'm getting tired of breaking the chair down and getting my little 3 gal gas can and filling up in a parking spot in the gas station. :helpsmilie:

    Changed out my GPS today

Lamonster, where did you get the gauge to measure the tension on the belt? Also, any special tool needed to remove the front sprocket? I'm getting ready to replace my GPS and the service manual doesnt really talk about any special tools need to remove the sprocket..

    wheelchair mount 1.0

Seth, IMMHO, that mount is way to bulky..Just do what I did..break the chair down COMPLETELY and strap it down. I have the sport rack that nicely fits the back rest grab handle when the back is collapsed. Not knowing what level of disability you are...its a P.I.T.A but its the "price of freedom"...

    Brake Failure

This is what I've done in the past with success...Usually the warning comes on when it senses low brake pressure in the ABS unit. With the bike off...build pressure in the lever and squeeze as hard as you can until you get significant pressure return in the lever...Turn the key back on and see...

Survey- Has your Spyder been in the shop for repair

Well, mine's in the shop now for a failed cam lifter and chain at only 10k on her. Who knows when I'll get her back..From what the mechanic said, a lifter failed then the timing chain stretched.

MY STORY TO TELL HOPE YOU READ IT.

You dont need no stinkin folder! (no disrespect to Floto) Strap it to the back like I did...:yes:It held for 8 hrs of riding through the twisties. The only thing is if you do not have any 'trunk' muscles, you'll tea-kettle off the back caues your rigid has to be completely disassembled. There is...

Anyone know of either a hand brake or moving the break to left side of SE5

The sport bike community (actually the racing guys) use a 'thumb brake' thats mounted on the left side for stunt riding or racing. http://www.gptechllc.com/thumbrake.html As to how much pressure that needed for a panic stop? :yikes: not sure, you would have to call and find out. Here another...

    neat spyder wave

At least you're getting waves..I've already had a few rice rockets pull up next to me, shake their heads and rocket off...after the second time I gave the guy the bird.:yikes: For some reason, the sport bike crowd isnt taking the introduction of a new design...

    2 Brothers Duals

What would look better is the slip-ons on each side of the Spyder. Now only if one of these companies would build one.

    Julian ride

Now if I can only find a way to bring my wheelchair along I would join ya guys. trying to figure out somekind of tote or just strapping it to the back somehow then I could do longer rides. :( I might just drive to Ysable and drive back home. I'm out in Rancho Bernardo not too far away.

    Question About Insurance

Anytime they issue a new policy, they are going to pull your DMV record anyhow. So if that's clean, no worries.. Also, AAA is $454/yr out here in California plus they offer motorcycle roadside service.

    Request from DynoJet/Power Commander

Hey Gang, I've been in touch with Power Commander/DynoJet inquiring when they will have one for the Spyder. Well, they need a test bike. So if anybody is in the Las Vegas, Nevada area give this guy a call and get the info. I'm bummed cause if I lived near them I'd do it in a heartbeat...

    FIRST SERVICE -- Many Questions.....

Man, down here in San Diego (alba action sports) the initial 600mi service was $327. You guys are getting a bargain. And to top it off, (literally) the tech put too much oil into the crankcase. it was way over the "full" mark. I swear man, it's better to do our own service if you want it done right.

    Installed Micron Carbon Fibre Exhaust

Ah, that's what I've should've done...I replaced this stuff as soon as I got the Spyder (within 100 miles) But it just went into its 600mi service and the tech said it's running too lean hence the problem. I'll try unplugging the battery and see what happens. Thanks!

    Installed Micron Carbon Fibre Exhaust

I just did the same setup but also added the Evoluzion's air filter and o2 modifier. Are you noticing any type of "bogging" off the bottom end of the powerband? As when downshifting and then accelerating?
