• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Y pipe gasket replacement

Is it part #8 here? It is listed as the same part, but someone did say the Honda gaskets are a bit bigger, but better. http://www.shspowersports.com/fiche_image_popup.asp?fveh=26245&section=960536&year=2008&make=Can%2DAm&category=Motorcycles&dc=3378&name=01%2D+Exhaust+System

Hey folks. Let's chat up the CT section

Hope to see some of you out there this weekend. Sat I have to help a friend move, but Friday and Sunday I will be riding. Sunday I think up to Vanillia Bean in Pomfret. Maybe a little in R.I. and South to see the storm damage.

    Need Wiring Help

Others have tapped leds into ESI's Triple Play and they worked as Brake/Running lights. The triple play is a nice safety feature, makes you very visable from the back and has the capability to flash 4 times before going steady when braking. Wakes up the cars behind you. He also has another...

    Cooler for SE5 trunk

I go with a soft cooler, that way as you empty it, it takes less room. Typically i will freeze a couple of water bottles that are about 3/4 full to use as ice packs, as they melt you have nice cold water. You may end up carrying just a little and replenishing your supplies later. Travelling...

Spring is in the air, and on the garage floor!

Now you finally have things in perspecive :2thumbs: Looking at that hot wheel, it kinda looks like XXX 74's Spyder with the orange paint and chrome:

Spring is in the air, and on the garage floor!

I did, I do not have one at the end of the cable, but I saw a much bigger return spring attached to the linkage. 3c on this parts fiche...

Spring is in the air, and on the garage floor!

Wow, your have a good eye! I checked, mine is still there, but I compared the two and they are the same size! ( A lot closer than BRPjunkie's guess!) :roflblack: So I checked other cables. There is still one on my seat release, but I think I know where it is from. I checked my cable that...

Thanks for posting the test results. Seems like a good, fairly priced upgrade.

    front fender flares

If like me, you were shocked by the price of those, or they still wont help, there was a guy selling parts for 1/2 price of retail, and he had a set of those side panels you can experiment with. Maybe a body shop can modify them for you. Meanwhile your Spyder will still be rideable...

    front fender flares

I cannot give any ideas on modifing those, but just in case you have never seen these, other options are available. Quite expensive though. http://www.vertikatrykescanada.com/index.shtml?highdisplayresults=4&lowdisplayresults=0&recordnumber=&search=&cat=SPYDER&button=Next

    Good News

Glad to hear at least one of your Spyders is running well, and the update took without DPS issues. I am still on the fence about that second update.

    Disappointment

:agree: You have been a invaluable resource as an Spyder owner on this site. In your assesment of problems you have always been helpful without slamming BRP. I don't see you slamming them now, just giving another assesment that all can benefit from including BRP. I sure hope BRP and your...

    Vacuum line missing?

Thanks, found it in the manual. I never would have thought to look under the clutch section. The pic I posted was from "engine 2" in a dealers online parts fiche.

Thanks, I hope this helps the next person looking for a missing vacuum line!

Spring is in the air, and on the garage floor!

I hope so, because I would have no idea where that thing came from unless it is from the linkage on the throttle body. The parts fiche only shows one large one: http://www.shspowersports.com/fiche_section_detail.asp

Spring is in the air, and on the garage floor!

I guess I must have dropped the rear shock spring when I installed the air ride. (any other wise ideas?) :roflblack:

    Vacuum line missing?

Yes, thats it. Guess it is supposed to be open. Seems strange, but I guess nothing will get through the diaphram. Where did you find that info?
