• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Aaaaaagh!!!

I will never forget the first and only time that happened to me but was on a sport quad rippin' thru the woods. I was several miles in and hit a rock. My hand came of the grip and inadvertently hit the kill switch. Quad just died. Sat there trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with the...

    MPG ON 2013 ST

Unmodded our RS' would get in the 25-30 range consistently. After spending a considerable amount of time tuning my RS SM5 (dual cans, high flow filter, air box plumbed to the hood scoop and JB Pro tuning) I'm in the 35 to 36 range. I took a trip to CT on Monday with city driving and open road...

    Nitto NT450 Good, Bad, Indifferent?

Am I correct in assuming the RT is much heavier in the rear especially with the passenger? I ride solo (RS SM5) always and find that 20-22 psi cold works fine. Remember, it's a car tire and a radial (Designed to carry exponentially more weight than your Spyder) so if you over inflate it, it will...

    Nitto NT450 Good, Bad, Indifferent?

I run the Nitto. Seems good in the rain and plenty of traction elsewhere. Wear has been really good. Got about 8000 miles on it with little to no sign of wear. it's all curves up here in the mountains and the oem tire was completely gone in under 6000 (no burnouts). So far so good.

Advantages/Disadvantages of Auto or manual Transmissions?

It's a heck of a lot safer and easier than trying to reach over and turning the key off. Every nano second counts when it hits the fan! That button can be spanked in a half a second or less. Lot harder to get to the key if wide open throttle and all :cus:'s breaking loose!;)

New SpyderLover sponsor- Two Brothers Racing

Bill, Only my experience from a fellow Spyderlover: Single pipe with the P1x tip installed= Doable with ear plugs if riding on the back. W/out P1x tip=deafening roar. Duals w/P1x tips=Really good ear plugs. W/out P1x tips= total skull implosion if above or behind the pipes:roflblack: My wife...

Wow, all I can say is thank you for the kind words and the opportunity to give back something that might be of help! SL is the first and only place I go to to find a wealth of information about the Spyder. Special thanks to Lamont and all the others that contribute so freely here. It's truly an...

Yea, without the p1x tips in it's like sticking my head in a :cus:'d off German Shepherds mouth. Gotta keep that "bark" tempered somewhat. Need to hear my riding music ya know?

    GG Taurus?

Ahhh...very observant grasshoppa! Are twin pipes even considered a "farkle" at this point? After looking at what everyone else has done to their machines I thought that the exhaust is just "standard issue"! Does that mean that I'm a "farkler"? I would really like being a part of the "in"...

Advantages/Disadvantages of Auto or manual Transmissions?

too funny...but...sorta not. That's the only thing about my wife's SE5 that drives me bonkers. I'm so used to just getting off my SM and leaving it in gear never setting the brake. Every time I move and get off the wife's bike, turn it off there is this ridiculous beeping sound because I didn't...

    GG Taurus?

Don't know if this has been posted before but I just couldn't help myself after hearing that motor sing. Check this video out. That thing sounds absolutely wicked!:yikes: I don't think there are VSS systems on it like the spyder so getting it loose could be deadly. Just can't get over that...
