• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Harley Clamping Down on Owners

That is the exact reason I reinstalled my CAT after removing the CAT bypass pipe. We are allowed to do whatever we want as long as it doesn't interfere with other peoples lives. If loud pipes save lives it's at the expense of someone else's comfort zone. I've purchased used Harleys with a...

    LOUDEST EXHAUST ON F3?

I have the same Akra Chrome straight shot with CAT still in place--it makes a nice rumble backing down thru the gears. The CAT bypass was obnoxious & adding 2 bables sounded terrible. My neighborhood is much happier after I re-installed the CAT. I think it was Jase that said removing the CAT...

How do you tell if your rotors are warped?

All it takes is one long high speed 80 mph brake to a dead stop can warp a rotor--especially if the rotor metal is low grade--maybe BRP ran out of normal rotors & filled their requirement with a Chinese knock off--we had a few arrive in the shop that anyone could spot the warping just by visual...

How do you tell if your rotors are warped?

You could have a major castor problem usually caused by a bent control arm components. Looks like you need to go thru all the motions of checking alignment & pulling the wheels & calipers off to verify you didn't drop a broken pad on the left side. Good Luck, Darrell

How do you tell if your rotors are warped?

Warped rotors cause a pulsing sensation in the vehicle & the majority of time you can feel the pulsation in your brake pedal, the slower you ride & brake the slower the pulsation; the faster you ride & brake the faster pulsation will be felt. That's all there is to it. Rotors can be warped by...

    Brake Bleeding

If a 2nd person is available--just have them hold pressure on the brake pedal starting from the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder--with the pedal depressed slightly open the caliper bleeding screw until a bit of fluid(approx 1/4 oz) comes out & then tighten the bleeding screw, all...

Delay'd shift into 2nd gear under full throttle

If the problem is with the solenoid causing the delay--the tach should show bumping the rev limiter--does yousr bump the rev limiter during the delay?? Most motorcycle tach's read a few hundred RPM higher than actual RPM at maximum. The Hayabusa's were off by 400 rpm. If yours is stock ecu set...

How many "Bar marks" are on your heat gauge when warm?

Mine goes goes up to 4 bar marks & the fan kicks in quite often when I'm stopped at a light. Several vehicle but I thought it was at 2-3 bar marks normally last year. I was in the low 60's degrees temp today thus I'm concerned about the 80 plus temp days ahead hiss Summer. I added approx 10...

Harley davidson speaks to declining bike sales

I'm starting to have sticker shock just as my 95 yr old grandmother had over a decade ago. Snow skiing was $18, concerts, college & pro football games, etc. On the other end one can buy a large TV for under $500. Cars have a wide price range--but you can buy a 750 hp Mustang for $50K, Honda...

Delay'd shift into 2nd gear under full throttle

Could be Chuck, I've had air shift solenoids on 3 bikes & never encountered this magic delay. But worse yet--I've misplaced my 2 cluster 6 speed tranny from a Hayabusa. I hate misplacing things:bdh:. I was going to take a few photos & attach them. considering the consistent delay & the short...

Delay'd shift into 2nd gear under full throttle

I'm still exhausted from removing the cat delete & muffler & reinstalling it again--now I need to find a solenoid & time its transfer :-( Woe is me :-( Won't that be the same solenoid that controls 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, etc?
