• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What experiences have you had with Lithium Batteries?

The second to last paragraph from the link says it all to me: Sounds like most healthy charging systems (I have not measured my Spyder's charging voltage yet) can charge a LiPo. My concern is the voltage must be removed once the battery is full. I'm not aware of any vehicles where the...

My New Spyder RT "Sea to Sky"

Gotta love that color. I know it looks much nicer in person than any picture can convey on a forum. The dealer had one when I bought my Spyder, but along with wanting something a bit more on the sporty side, I was not ready to drop that much on a new ride. Its a beautiful machine. I can...

Shock Absorber Technical Questions - is Damping the same as Rebound? & more!

What's the benefit of having Rebound over Low Speed Compression? Is Rebound less important? I'm sizing up some Elka shocks and they do not offer a shock with a Dual Rate Spring and Rebound unless you go with the Stage 4 or above. Stage 2 has Rebound, but not Dual Rate Springs. Stage 3 has...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

How has your experience been when it comes to needing to make adjustments? How difficult is it to access and make adjustments once mounted? How long have you had them? M2 is on my short list to purchase for a few reasons. ;)

    Riding Gear Poll

What's your take on riding gear when riding your Spyder on the road, either for short trips or long a long cruise? This is not about brands, what brand is better, right or wrong just curious as to how the forum considers safety vs. comfort and convenience. :2thumbs: Pick which Spyder you have...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

Interesting comment in that it would seem that unless this was an oversight in design, Spyder was designed from the start to utilize and air suspension and the models that don't have one are left to contend with the design as it was. I'm not a design engineer, but I can think of a better design...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

I'm hoping that the PITA you refer to is due to having a F3T, R, Limited or RT. :) I have a F3-S and it appears fairly straight forward with decent access. The more I learn about Spyder's, the more I am so happy I picked the F3S over the T or Limited I was considering.

Shock Absorber Technical Questions - is Damping the same as Rebound? & more!

This was very helpful. :2thumbs: Why because it explaned to me that both Rebound and Compression are both forms of "Damping". The fact M2 just calls it Damping was confusing because many Goolge searches pulled up "compression" when along with the Word damping.I had not made this connections...

Use a fused relay or can the accessory wire handle this current?

Got it. I wasn't trying to force an opinion on you. My comments were for anyone else who may stumble across the thread later and have similar questions  Any "Bosch" type relay will work for what you need.

Anyone installed this Motorcycle Car Play Unit or similar on 2020+ RT or F3?

How does the screen impact visibility of the gauges? Its a little hard to tell in the images. This intrigues me as I am struggling with Can-Am BRPGO! and apps on the gauges nd am just about ready to dump the idea of BRP integration and move to something like this. Thanks!

Shock Absorber Technical Questions - is Damping the same as Rebound? & more!

I'm putting together a cheat sheet on suspension adjustments and would like to start a thread to ask questions I can't seem to find easy answers for. I did a forum search for 'damping' and was greeted with nothing, but maybe one thread that was irrelevant to my inquiry. In comparing front...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

As others stated this is likely not a good idea in practice. Issues of the OEM aside, and after looking at the electrical connections and such from the SM, there is no way this will be cheaper and less evasive of an upgrade than aftermarket shocks. If the OEM air suspension was rock solid and...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

Truth be told, my preference is actually not to have Elka, but I have to balance function, reliability, durability, warranty and cost. Not sure which factor matters the most to me at this point, but I'm thinking reliability and warranty are at the top since any brand on the list will likely...

Use a fused relay or can the accessory wire handle this current?

Can you please be a little more specific? If you're adding a relay, then any decent automotive grade 12V relay would work just fine. Here is an example of a "name brand" http://rb.gy/2y6ah6 but I have used "off brand" relays over the years that work perfectly fine as well, but at a lower price...

Anyone else with 2023 F3 WindShield cracking?

I hope to never experience this, but the causes IMO are somewhat limited: Over torqueing mounting hardware Defective windshield material Excessive vibration of the Can-Am (vehicle issue or road conditions)

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

Nice Product, I even like the white and orange color of the rear. Elka money though. :gaah: I'm finding good things about Wilbers but at that price, I may as well consider Elka. Anyone have any experience with M2 shocks? M2 Spyder Shocks (2 Front + 1 Rear) are $1965 a set plus shipping...

Looking for 'increased load' shock suggestions - 2023 F3-S

I agree, I'll likely need to brush up suspension adjustments, what they do and decide what I really need. Once I'm 'dialed in' I'd only want to make minimal adjustments when I go two up. I'm thinking preload and dampening would be all I need, but will need to dig deeper. I'm not sure if...

Guess what everyone? I have a new 2023 F3 LTD - Mineral Blue.

Looks super nice! Does the auxiliary sockets added to the bar bracket block the view of the instruments much? It sure seems like you cant read your gauges well with them installed.

SpyderExtras F3 Front Grille Guard users - Thoughts? Opinions?

Looks super industrial - cool, but I have my doubts it will serve any real purpose other than looks. Unless you are driving through brush, off-road or your roads are littered with tall debris you can't avoid this has no purpose IMO. BUT If I had the money to burn, I'd get it. I bought a...

Use a fused relay or can the accessory wire handle this current?

Just a different opinion, I'd use the Customer Accessory Circuit. From a functional standpoint, this circuit is an independent switched, fused and relay-controlled circuit. Can-Am was gracious enough to provide a fair amount of capacity to this circuit -10A. I would advise only using 80%...
