• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Dealers For Garmin GPS Need Current GPI file

All, I'm not the expert, and since a few folks are asking I'll throw this out there. As always on this forum, if I've messed it up I'm sure someone will chime in quickly. This pertains to my Garmin 595, which is a new, Non-Can Am model I purchased from the place online. First I rounded up...

Spyder Dealers For Garmin GPS Need Current GPI file

I have D2245000E.gpi, not sure if it is the most current. Looked in the last place I downloaded it, couldn't find it. If you want I can send you that one.

    Your First One

Not my picture. Anybody remember Hodaka's? My first. Don't know how many times I almost killed myself on that thing.

    2016 RTS 350 miles report

Marc is not a vendor that I know of. He has his own website. I helped him develop some cones that better fit the newer Spyder wheels. His static balance shaft seems to work well. The Spyder isn't listed on his website, best to call him and get a clear understanding. I think mine was about...

    Peacekeeper6 Mod Thread

It's typical Spyder. Looks bad, really pretty easy. Watch the excellent video by PurpleGuy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNd2qmioXkA&feature=youtu.be The only thing I missed was the Battery Tender harness which I had glued into the frunk grommet, and the USB/Audio cable with a grommet...

    Looking for part

https://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts/a/cam/500b5ba0f8700228ecf59d34/body-and-accessories-side The OEM Spyder parts site is down, look at this page, bottom right. It's parts 10, 11, 12, 12a and 16. Pretty pricey. Look at securing both sides with a Dzus or other type quick lock, they can...

    Stupid Belt

From my experience only, you rotate the tire forward in the normal direction of travel to settle the belt. I shoot for the 1 credit card width, even though the spec is 1-5mm. You don't want the belt hard on the flange, but I like to run it close to the flange on the rear because (for my...

    2016 RTS 350 miles report

Here's what I use from Marc Parnes. It's a static balance shaft, pretty self explanatory.

    2016 RTS 350 miles report

A couple of things. Belt Tension is such a problem that BRP put out a TSB to "Fix" the problem. Here is the TSB Basically, it comes down to the belt is going to reach a harmonic that set up a vibration in the frame, some folks including myself have found lowering the belt tension to a lower...

    Stupid Belt

Here's what worked for me. I use a ratchet strap also, but not in the rim as I need to roll the rear wheel to see where the belt ends up on the pulley. The Spyder has a 5/8" (15.8mm) hole through the axle shaft. With the belt tension at ±175 Lbs (778 Newtons) there is very little chance the...

    Peacekeeper6 Mod Thread

I just got done doing this, and I removed the frunk to do it. IMO taking the frunk off is less stressful than trying to get the cover back on the left fog light with the frunk on. I would rate this as about a 3 on your scale, the air intake tube is a chore getting it back on while trying to...

This is not about whether to buy Chinese products.....

I will say this about it. You've read me rant about Chinese products, and in the same breath say the Chinese people are OK. Let me clarify that a little farther. The Communist Chinese regime is evil, as all Communists are (Socialists too). They do not have good intentions for us as a free...

    Top Front Shock bolts??

Mr RICZ, Not an F3 guy, but front ends are front ends. If you raise the front end significantly it will change the toe in to a more toed-in position (I think I'm remembering this correctly). A small amount is OK, but if you go a lot you may need an alignment. Raising the frame is exactly what...

    2019 Spyder RT-L Backrest recommendations

:agree: About the passenger, with the OEM one room is cramped for the rear rider. Might be worth looking at the Utopia for that very reason.

    2019 Spyder RT-L Backrest recommendations

For me I went with the OEM because it matched the seat. Make sure you get the adjustable driver backrest as some earlier versions weren't and sometimes didn't fit well. The adjustment is an Allen screw used as a stop, and can be accessed by tilting it forward. Looking at the OEM, if you are...

    Top Front Shock bolts??

Just my observations. I went a different route, didn't want to lose any ride comfort as I am busted up. I installed the BajaRon front spring adjusters along with the BajaRon sway bar. His stuff pretty much sells itself. The preload adjusters regain the ride height and clearance lost when you...
