• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shell Rotella T6 Out of Stock! Any available? Any Alternatives?

In the manual I have, XPS 4T 5W40 Synthetic blend oil, but I would tend to agree with Ron on the formulation. I've jumbled oils around in my old cars as well as my off-road Jeeps for a number of years, and have almost never taken the 'default' seriously. It's about what's best for the motor and...

    First Service at 600 miles?

Do you happen to know what the part numbers might be for the drain plug sealing washers and O-rings ? Since BRP says to use XPS 4T 5W40 Synthetic blend oil, I'd go with that. But I'd like to see what the cost for a filter and those washers/O-Rings are. There are "oil change kits" sold online for...

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

Or the 2nd 28k service(?) My BRP manual doesn't list a specific 56k, but does list a 28...But there is also a 19k, so does it only depend on when you get to do the maintenance? Or would you actually run both the 2nd 28k and then the 3rd 19k 1,000 miles later?

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

I got it. It's pretty good sized. 748 pages for the basic shop manual, plus another 248 pages of operations content. I thought it was humorous that they said in two of the service evolutions for the 2021 F3-Ltd "change spark plugs"...

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

Jay - true. The price of a paper manual runs, on average, $85USD. I had one dealer tell me that it was not available to the public, and another told me that I would need the companion software that costs about $300USD. I'll buy the online one and then look to see how many pages it is. I have...

Raising the front end for sway bar Remove & Refit - how exactly?

Mike - That's fine for the stock bar; I'm not sure it's even worth re-selling. But what about the new bar? Doesn't that also need at least the same height in order to put it in?

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

Do you happen to know how many pages the entire manual is? I'd rather just have it on paper and bound so it sits in my shop area with the bike... I'm thinking that for the money, I could grab one and upload it somewhere here, if it's not against any rules...

Raising the front end for sway bar Remove & Refit - how exactly?

I bought the BR swaybar kit and, in looking at the installations online so far, the consensus is to lift the Spyder to a length comprarble with the length of the swaybar. This measurement appears to be 24". I have not found a lift, ramp, or jack (save one or two in the $1500USD+ range) that can...

    Memorial Day Weekend

I put a pole up on my property when I moved in and have flown Old Glory there ever since. I left high school to volunteer for service (seems like a lifetime ago). I was proud to have volunteered then, and would step in again if asked.

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

I'd like to have a paper manual. None of these links seem to offer that. I don't want have to go to a web site in order to read a manual section. I'm going to call a few local dealers and see if they can supply an actual shop manual in print form.

    First Service at 600 miles?

RB - I am also familiar with them. Sales people were all but rude. I had what I would consider a very helpful conversation with a mech in the service shop, but when I then asked for a quote for the work we discussed, he did a 180, telling me there was no way that their shop would do the work...

FYI -Cheap Cycle Parts has CLOSED

This problem is becoming systemic. I have also noticed a rash of "new" supply companies appearing on the intar-web selling reloading components. I already know that a box of primers that sold pre-COVID was $30 to $33 per 1000. And post-COVID it jumped to $100+. So when you see a new source that...

    FOBO Fun

I was hoping to have my FoBo2 kit installed by now, but time and projects being what they are... I did a lot of reading, u-tubing, and telephone calling to look into this kit. It is definitely legit. Specific items I asked about with the channel vendor (as close to the mfg as I could get) - My...
