• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advice on Blue Ridge Parkway road condtions?

Second response to my Google search for Blue Ridge Parkway gave this site : https://www.nps.gov/blri/index.htm that gives road alerts and closures.

What 2020+ RT Limited seat options are there?

+1 on the Utopia - I have one on my 2021 RTL. Let me suggest you go set on several seats at a dealership. The S2S has the same seat (just different stitching) as the RTL Heated Comfort Seat. But I'm not much reference. 123537 miles on the stock '06 GoldWing seat (with Utopia back rest).

which was your most spectacular tour ??

Living just North of Knoxville, TN we have some of the best roads in the Eastern half of the nation within an hour of home (one much closer). Still, the ones that stick out to me are Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive (we took a week and stayed in mom&pop places). First week of June mountain...

So, did the OP ever get a resolution?

    saddlebag hinge replacement

ABS cement is no longer carried in our local hardware or big box stores, and even if it was would be very old. I get it on Amazon and it is fresh. You can get GP cleaner locally, however. Most motorcycle tupperware is ABS, and I "rescue" fence row finds as a hobby. Reinforcement can be done by...

Newbie with questions on ordering a 2022 model

Just wondering if you told iMotorsports that you are a Spyderlovers member?

Spyder And Two wheels - how hard to switch back & forth?

I bought an RTL in May and sold our GL1800 (with 123537 miles on it). Still have a '76 Yamaha RD400c and '78 GL1000 cafe. I try to keep them all exercised. The Spyder gets the most use and of course is the touring choice. Once learning the secrets to the Spyder like not locking arms, I don't...

    Gas tank fill ups

Our area Weigel's stores (newer ones at least) have non-alcohol 90 octane, but dispense it like a fire hose with an ON/OFF switch.

    What Model differences between 2021 RT's & 2022?

    Typing on a tablet sucks.

    IMotorsports - fine customer service!

My suggestion is to bend your elbows! Stiff arms will have you dodging all over the road.

    What Model differences between 2021 RT's & 2022?

2021 came with heated seats, grips, and custom fitted luggage.

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

Each hotel/motel is usually individually owned, and the overall brands have varying input to quality. Marriott however, had a data breach that spread our Bonvoy account around. They didn't alert me. I had to find out through bogus bookings. They denied, confessed, denied. Our ship's reunion was...

Spyder Travelers, what do you do for overnight stays?

We usually seek out Mom & Pops, but have stayed at chains if more convenient. Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton have been some of our biggest disappointments.

Need a Stiff hitch for a Uni-go - recommend any?

Well, I ended up installing a WeiSen (generic Chinese from Amazon) hitch. Seems pretty sturdy and was easy to mount. Still needed the electrical adapter to five wire for the Uni-go, and the Uni-go adapter for the hitch. Lewis at Electrical connection ordered parts so he could build one for my...

    Newbie Question about handling

Remember how learning (even though you may have been told) counter-steering on the 2 wheeler made riding so much easier and enjoyable? The thing I learned on a Spyder is to bend your elbows and don't lean on the bars.

Reverse problem - 2021 RTL would not go into reverse??

Although mechanical failures are possible, I suspect that if there IS a problem with the bike (not the pilot), that it is just a switch adjustment.

Does Garmin XT GPS need an app to connect to BRP Connect &/or Intercom?

My Garmin 396 will NOT pair with my 2021 RTL (wish it would). Instead, I have it paired to a Bluetooth receiver that the AUX is plugged into to receive spoken directions over the speakers and use the media player on the Zumo. I don't have the Garmin or CanAm apps on my cell phone. The phone is...

Confession, My Wife And Daughter Called Me Out.

So, did you ride and enjoy? You may find it very nervous and "dodgey" until you relax your grip, bend your elbows, and let it move a bit under you. Then let the wind therepy begin! You'll probably need it.
