• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Imotorsports customer service

BRP systems were down last Wednesday when I called to add BEST warranty on my '21 RTL. Thomas took my number and promised to call back when they were up. He called yesterday evening and now I'm good for three more years!

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

The only time that I've riden the Spyder with another bike is when the neighbors want to go on a ride (another RT and a Ural).

Where do you put your phone????

In my armored riding pants front left pocket. There if I need it when off the bike, and Bluetooth to my Sena SMH5 set when riding.

Looking for a light kit for a homebuilt trailer

I put a Harbor Freight kit (replacement sent for my HF trailer) on the one-bike trailer that I built from an HF kit. In five years, I have had to replace EVERY WIRE on it. The connectors and lights were fine, but the wires corrode away inside their insulation rapidly. Yes, I sealed all joints...

    Anyone Using "Hotwired" brand Gloves?

My old Gerbings are almost two decades old, still going, and heat top and bottom. With the Spyder's heated seat and grips, I barely power the Thinsulate lined gloves and jacket liner, but they are nice to balance things out.

Live Tabernacle Organ performance on You Tube

We were in SLC for a particle accelerator conference sponsored that year by BYU. Our main host was a friend and his wife that I had met at several previous conferences. They arranged for our group to be toured through the tabernacle, including going through the pipe bases (with the operating...

I've actually been IN that organ while being played! A marvelous, massive instrument.

This isn't very helpful - BRP closing 1/25 til mid-February!

Just hope the software (update, upgrade,or change) was not written by the folks that wrote BRP Connect!

    Imotorsports customer service

As I've said before, it is much harder to find good employees (even ones that occasionally screw up) than find customers.

This isn't very helpful - BRP closing 1/25 til mid-February!

I worked for a company that closed its headquarters (in Germany) for two weeks each August. Most of the other parts of the company (one of the world's largest) delt with it and kept running.

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

One more example of BRP designing something with flaws and refusing to correct.

New LED Bulbs Are IN and Tested.

Let me just make the suggestion that you carry a spare with you if running cheap LEDs. Lifetime is not so good, in my experience on my GL1000. The first one that I tried lasted maybe 24 total hours. A bit better replacement now in use is still holding up (this bike sees little use).

RT vs RT-Ltd - Lin-Q/trunk removal & effect on wind?

My '21 RTL came with the tool. I've only had the trunk off for running trailer wiring, but it was very easy to remove and install. I believe only the S2S models came stock with the cover. I use my trunk a lot, so no desire to remove it, one or two-up.

What Helmet Liners do you wear?

I use a "Slik" liner - slick silk-like satin cloth on the inside, cotton outside. Lets the hair slide around and reduces "helmet hair" while also reducing itch. Keeps the hairs from being shoved into the follicles, I guess. Works well. GL1800 rider "Trialsman" suggested one to me a decade ago...

    Can-Am all-electric Motorcycles grand reveal

And yet, Canada was once a world leader in supplying nuclear power plants around the world. AECL also was a center for both nuclear and atomic physics research. There were marvelous nuclear engineers at Chalk River. What happened?
