• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tire availability? 165/55R15

You can put 165/60R15 on the front without any issues. That's what we have on both our 2020 and 2021 RT's. Ran the same size on our 2018 and 2015 F3's.

Would this jack be ok for an 18 F3-L?

I have the steel one from HF and it works well. The one you are looking at should as well, but don't put the extensions on as it will not fit under your Spyder.

    Imagine my surprise

We have owned 7 Spyders. All purchased new and not one has had a lock washer on the the battery terminal. Why do you think a new battery is not warranted?

What 2020+ RT Limited seat options are there?

Lamm does do 2020/2021 seats, but maybe very busy and that's why you haven't heard from him.

    Imagine my surprise

Sounds like a bad battery. If your Spyder is less than 6 months old (since you purchased it) the dealer should replace it under warranty. I have found new batteries to be less than fully charged. I put new batteries on smart chargers (like what you have) as soon as possible until I get the solid...

21 RTL Handlebar shake at 45 mph. Running out of ideas. Any suggestions?

I agree with Peter. To rid my 2020 RT of the front end shakes I replace the OEM tires with Vredestein Quatrac tires. When I changed out the OEM's on my wife's F3L to these tires she asked me why I hadn't done it sooner as it made it ride so much better.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Looks great! May have to do that also.

    Battery Replacement Discussion

I onforchetly have had two motorcycle batteries die while on the road. Both in Harleys. I had no warning either time. On my 2014 RT it did give me notice with hard starting when warm, so I was able to replace before it stranded me. The next replacement was on my wife's 2018 F3. Thankfully it...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I tried to adjust my right saddle bag on my 2020 RT so it would open easier. Managed to snap the lever off:yikes:. Bringing it in Friday to have a dealer replace.

How often do you change the oil in your Spyder?

BRP states every 9300 miles after the first one at 3000. I do 9000 as it's easier to remember even numbers - as in 12,000, 21,000, 30,000 compared to 12,300, 21,600, 30,900. 150,000 combined miles on 1330 motors without any oil related issues.

Now or Wait Until Spring for First Oil Change?

If she is going to ride it more this year, and its only a few 100 miles. I would schedule that 3000 mile service closer to when it goes into hibernation. I agree with the others and have as fresh as possible oil in it. My wife's new 2021 Sea to Sky demo had 3365 miles on it when we purchased it...

HowTo: Make Removing 2020 RTL Trunk easier!

I hope you find that part. We just purchased a 2021 StS and it came with that tool. Since I also have a 2020 RT I asked the dealer about getting me one and he said if BRP ever offers them he plans on ordering a bunch.

    Rear Tire Revisited.

That was most likely me as I used that tire on our Alaska trip in 2015. The tire was great for the first 12,000 miles, but then it started to slip in the rain and at 17,000 miles any moisture on the road made for a dangerous ride. I was running it at 25 psi, but even when I dropped to 20 psi it...

2014 RT - did they have front pulley problems?

We had 84,000 miles on our 2014 RT without ever needing to replace the front sprocket. Now the DESS module was another story!

The .... NEW ... Quatrac tire

I just installed this tire on my wife's f3 wheel. As reported no dots. No tire shop would touch doing it stating their tire machine would not handle the raised center hub, and of course the local CanAm dealership would not do it as I didn't purchase the tire from them, so I changed it myself...

    Can you ID this part?

As long as you are in there it would be a great time to upgrade your vacuum hoses to silicon ones. These OEM hoses have a history of cracking resulting in ruff running. Take one of your old hoses to a auto parts store for matching the size.

2021 Sea-to-Sky Front Rim Curb Rash - any tips/tricks to removing tire?

I assume you are talking about a front wheel. If so there should be three lug nuts holding the wheel on and a 11/16 deep socket will fit. With the tire on the ground break loose the lug nuts. Rise the Spyder up using the center rail under the Spyder until tire is off the ground. Place a jack...
