• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

B.E.S.T. Warranty NOT warrantying the stupid side bag door handles that break anymore

A small piece of unsolicited advice. BRP gets very touchy when you start talking lawsuits. Especially when it's uncalled for. Remember, you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. I broke a latch and just had my 2020 RTL side bag latches repaired and upgraded through a TSB...

Where can I check for Recall notices?

Looks like there are no mandatory recalls, but there are two Technical Service Bulletins. That means if you bring your F3 for service regarding these issues, BRP will pick up the cost of the repair. https://www.carproblemzoo.com/tsb/can-am/spyderf3/2022-can-am-spyderf3.php

Need help / advice. Buying a Spyder out of town (3000 miles away) with lien.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon here. The best way to buy an out of state Spyder with a lien on it is to AVOID it at all costs. I bought my Spyder brand new from a dealer in another state (I live on the border) and it was still a PITA. They couldn't provide a registration or a title. I had to...

Any videos showing 2020+ RT front trunk removal?

I used a combination of wet vac and hose to clean the radiators before I put on the radiator guards. If you turn the handlebars to full stop, first one way and then the other, you can access the back of the radiator from the wheel well and reverse flush with a hose. As always, my free advice...

What are the Side bag capacities please?

I routinely put a full face helmet in the side bag. First, I have to take the SENA dongle off, then place the helmet on its side.

A question - what's the best way to lubricate all the cables?

The exact same thing happened to my 2020 RTL. It was repaired for no cost under the TSB.

    Spyder RS-S 2011 SE5 - Low Voltage battery - any ideas/suggestions?

The DPS is the largest draw on the electrical system. I'm guessing what you describe sounds like normal behavior. It still might be a bad battery. After all, you are troubleshooting a bad battery from a 2011 Spyder with one from a 2008 Spyder. Either have the battery(s) load tested or just...

Well it finally happened to me. Bag latch broke

I'll have to call the dealer to make an appointment to get the technical service bulletin taken care of. Damn. What a Pain in the A$$.

My first oil change, More dealer screw up's

Well done. I'll take a little different approach to my unsolicited advice. If you haven't already, next time you change your oil, change the drain plugs to hex head drain plugs. These are the ones I use: https://www.lamonstergarage.com/show-chrome-can-am-spyder-1330-m14-1-5-magnetic-drain-plug/

    Spyder Sightings

I saw a white, pre 2020 Syder RT in the parking lot of Bethel Woods in the evening of June 29, 2023. I was coming home from the James Taylor concert.

Doing my first oil change and I have some questions for the more experienced guys...

I agree with many of the posters here. Lamonster's oil plugs are a very good approach. Hex head is the way to go. If you buy the BRP oil change kit, it comes with all the crush washers and o-rings you need. BajaRon is, as usual, correct. With the DEEFIL plug, you still have to remove the plug...

2021 RTL - what size battery jump starter should I be looking at??

I know you asked about a NOCO brand. While riding with a group, I had a total battery failure less than two years after I bought my 2020 RTL. Someone in the group had a small jump pack, though jumping was ultimately unsuccessful. Fortunately, enough people were around me that I could get help...

Got a VSS Fault and Limp Mode today, then it cleared?! Your thoughts?

Just an update for those kind enough to consider my problem. On the 2020 RTL, there is a small portion of the footboard immediately to the right of the brake pedal. I think I was resting my foot on that portion of the floorboard and accidentally contacted the brake. After moving my foot to a...

Got a VSS Fault and Limp Mode today, then it cleared?! Your thoughts?

Riding today, in fairly decent weather, I got a VSS fault and the Spyder went into limp mode. No rain, but cloudy. In limp mode I couldn't exceed 70 MPH. I should say that it went into limp mode on the highway at about 75 MPH. Thus the 70 MPH limit. I rode for another couple of minutes like...

Would removing the rear mud flap reduce Dust on Pillion Passenger?

I would say absolutely not. I had a 2014 and added an additional mudflap to help eliminate the rooster tail effect from the back wheel. I was very pleased to find that my 2020 RT had the mud flap extension built in from the factory. Remember, the OP has a '21 RT. As always, my free advice...

Any ideas on what this Noise on my 2022 RT-L might be?

If you have a hiss for a few seconds and then it stops, no repair is necessary. The suspension was just airing up and stopped at it's set point. If it continues for minutes at a time, then you have a leak that needs to be repaired. I'm thinking you're probably OK.

Anyone know where to get a 2020+ RT trunk lid latching pad?

Yes. I think the best advice would be to adjust the locking mechanism so you don't need to slam the lid. It's pretty easy to do. Here's a video that should help: https://youtu.be/MVq0_JgBZXU?t=186 As always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.
