• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Auxiliary Lights ?

I mounted mine to the a-arms on that plastic shield. Use star washers between the bracket and the plastic to help keep bracket from rotating. Got my lights from Superbrightleds.com

Anyone seen or tried these LED lights?

I just replaced all of the front lights in my truck with LED bulbs from Sealight. Paid $80 for all 6 bulbs. Very happy with them. They are actually "Xenower" brand. For the Spyder RTs we went through Lamonster. Do a search for LED replacements here on the site

Title and Registration still not here fm purchase end Sept!

I went through something similar as well. Live in WI and bought the bike in IL. The trick is getting that certificate of origin to your state's DMV.

    This Forum's MEMBER List ????

I think its normal. I am on several forums and feel like its safe to say that "most" members log on once in a blue moon to lurk. And many don't feel confident enough to get involved in conversations or try to answer questions. Some of us aren't afraid to spark up a debate, and sometimes debates...

    How to sell a Spyder?

I would ask for their drivers license and a credit card as a deposit while they ride. I would also ask about their motorcycle riding experience, and some proof of insurance, and maybe even have a written document signed by the potential buyer in hand stating that they pay for any damage caused...

2021 Road Trips, who's going where?

SD Black Hills for 10 days Memorial Day weekend. That's all that's in the books for now, but we tend to do a lot of overnighters on the weekends with some friends. Yellowstone in 2022.

    Transamerica Trail

My brother went from Tenn to the west coast riding the TAT, on a dirt bike. He shared hundreds of pics. I wouldn't even consider it on a Spyder, or anything with more than 2 wheels from what I saw.

    battery charging during winter

Not familiar with the 2020. Did they even put a cig lighter port in them? Hasn't everything migrated to usb by now? You'd likely be better off to just connect the tender pigtail to the battery terminals.

Windshield question - why return to lowest position when turned off?

I leave mine somewhere in between, (2016). I've wondered why they added that feature...

F4 Windshield - need honest opinions re shorter height screen reducing buffetting?

My personal choice, and opinion is a windshield with a "reverse" at the top of it to help push the air up and over your head. I chose the windshield that LaMonster Garage sells and we have both been very happy with them on our RT's. My wife has the 25" on hers, I have the 22" on mine.

Is there a way to create a route using Google Maps withOUT waypoints?

I used to use the MyRoute App all the time for planning guided rides. Then I started using REVER. I prefer REVER over MyRoute. Check em both out. Both are easily used with Garmin products and all around easy to use.

    Whoever designed ------

When I do these jobs on my '16 RT, I have all the goodies on hand to do as much maint. as possible at the same time, air, oil, filters, etc....And, since I have the plastics off, I spray things down well with some Simple Green and wash the crud out while I'm in there. Good peace of mind and...

    Planning a trip

300 miles a day is easily done on an RT. I would stop every 90 minutes or so just to stretch and stay hydrated and alert. Interstates bore the crap out of me personally, so I don't ride them. IF I was doing a trip like this, I would take state highways and county highways and avoid the big...

Transporting 2020 RT on an open trailer sideways?

Theoretically backwards would be worst case scenario, but I've done it with no issues at all by just taking the windshield off. I wouldn't think sideways would be an issue at all.

Can someone show pics of Jacking / lifting points?

A arms in front, and rear lower shock mount for the rear work well. If you get a bike lift, the frame makes a "T" underneath that makes a good lifting point.

What are your top 5 things before Winterization?

last year we were done on November 1st. This week looks to be in the upper 60's into the weekend. Tuesday the temps take a digger and I suspect crummy weather will follow shortly after. Once the salt flies, the bikes get parked. My storage list consists of oil change, wash, a little extra air in...
