• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garmin Zumo XT - how readable; mountable; & lockable are they?

In my opinion, excellent in all aspects

Attended 3 Wheel Rally in Deadwood, Sd

We went a couple yrs ago. The area is certainly beautiful no matter which way you head for the day. The year we went there wasn't any guided rides, and we weren't familiar with the area, so that was a bummer. There really wasn't much for organized activities either. Overall we were disappointed...

GPS - How do the Nav6 & Zumo XT compare? Impressions on either?

I've only had my XT for a couple months but lovin it so far. Lots of capabilities and options, easy mounting setup, easy to use, easy to read in sunlight, good battery life, bluetooth compatability to a phone and helmet at the same time, and the ability to update through home WiFi is something I...

Looking for a 2020 RT bolt-on Dash Mount?

2019 and prior offered those handy two bolts in the dash. Those don't exist on the 20's and ups. Not sure what lies under the polished piece on the dash though. i've had good luck with a couple of Spyder Cuffs and bar mounts with my dash accessories.

What’s your average MPG using what Octane Fuel?

To be honest i've never checked it. My guess is about 35 mpg though on premium non=ethanol. I'd rather just ride and fill it up when it needs it...not a big deal for me. Ride more worry less...

The Spyder “Road warriors” makes a difference!

Our Spyder "Group" called SOAR holds multiple fund raising events for the Road Warriors. It's nice to see money going toward a good cause. It is absolutely a bit of marketing for BRP but who cares if it's getting some vets on the road? It is getting very expensive though. We were told a few...

Anyone haul 2 RTLs or F3Ls? Utility or Cargo trailers?

I use a 7x14 open utility trailer for our 2 RT's. Drive the first one on with the nose in one of the corners, then slide the rear to the opposite side. Then back the 2nd one on with the rear up along side the first, at the opposite angle. Works great

Recycling plastics (or should I say the lack of)

Not necessarily to "blame" but there could have been much better regulations on plastics years ago to make recycling a more common practice nowadays. "Big Oil" has put the screws to us for years by manipulating the so-called "supply and demand" theory. Does anyone actually believe that a gallon...

Recycling plastics (or should I say the lack of)

A topic near and dear to me. I work for a plastic thermoforming company, been that for 35 yrs. Its very sad that our society is too lazy to separate recyclables from garbage, and that our infrastructure isn't setup for mass recycling. It's sad that there is such great variation in recycling laws...

    Electric vehicles and the Grid

What happens to the batteries from the EV's that are in crashes and totalled? Are they recycled? I've read and heard that just building the batteries does more harm to our environment than refining fuels. This whole EV thing drives me batty.

Remap necessary after cat delete? ... what about ...

Nope. Install it, then start it up and let it idle for a good 5 minutes at least...maybe 10.

Anyone know what the Torque Specs are for the engine oil drain plugs?

Snugged up, then one more bump of the heel of your hand. LOL.....Sorry, couldn't resist. I've never used a torque wrench on anything, but then again I've been wrenching on stuff for 50 yrs.

“Mini-Carport” shelter for outdoor Spyder storage - what's available?

Have you considered a small storage shed? Wood construction, shingled roof, wood floor, and most are built to be moveable on 6x6's, color match to your house if ya wanna too. There are so many different shapes and sizes available now days. Then you'd have additional storage for any other outdoor...

What are the Zumo XT's capabilities?

I'll wrap this one up by thanking everyone for the input. Yes, I did buy the XT and was easily able to pair it with a pair of earbuds, my phne, and my helmet-mounted Sena system. I can do everything I need to without any switching or connecting issues. I really like that I can run music from my...

Is Windshield mounting on 2021 RT Ltd the same as 2017 RT?

I was able to transfer our windshields from a 2019 RT and a 2016 RT to our new 21 RT's with perfect match mounting. We both had Freedom shields from LaMonster that we wanted on our new 21 RT's

What are the Zumo XT's capabilities?

Larger screen, better visibility, weather resistance, fewer steps between functions, hard-wired for power to name a few.... I agree, a good smartphone does most of this, but I prefer a stand-alone GPS.

What are the Zumo XT's capabilities?

Well, my Zumo 396 battery took a crap, and finding a replacement that's reliable seems a little sketchy.... Soooo, I treated myself to a Zumo XT. I'm curious if anyone has ever loaded one with music to be able to listen to navigation prompts and music together from one device to a helmet or...

2020 RTL - Can I run cell phone 'maps' app as gps thru the speakers?

As Pete said, if you bluetooth to the bike, you should be able to hear your map voice prompts through the bike speakers from your phone app. Similar to listening to music via bluetooth to the bike speakers. You can probably listen to music and the map prompts through the bike simultaneously

I have a bunch of music on my phone, and I also have the SXM App on my phone that I either bluetooth to my helmet, earbuds, or to the bike speakers, depending on which helmet I have on
