• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hesitation on hard right turns

:agree: And keep in mind that some of the cutout under these conditions is caused by loss of rear tire traction. Granted, the system seems to be more sensitive with the bars cranked over, but addressing the lighter weight on the rear and the physics of the turn, as well as the rear tire...

    Fog lights won't work

I'm a bit confused. You said nothing about a switch or a switch harness. Did you get that with the foglights, or is it the missing link?

    Tires

All tires gain pressure when hot. That's why the recommended pressures are stated cold. The center wear on the OEM tire is more a product of the thin belt, wide width, and ballooning at freeway speeds. 6,000 miles is real short life even for the OEM tire, however. I think 10K or more was...

    The Log House Project

That was our theory. Thanks for confirming. I don't think the foglight was hit by the leg, although that's possible. I think it popped out forward because we slowed so suddenly from the force. We came to almost a complete stop in just a few feet. I would have been working on the house...

Am new here, and need Advice, Please!

The total towing capacity of the Spyder RT or ST is 400 pounds, including the trailer. You would have to use a light power chair and fabricate a very light trailer.

    Hesitation on hard right turns

Without much ability to do any tuning or change a chip, and with the fuss Nanny makes on a dyno, there hasn't been much push for performance mods. There is no racing venue for these, and the ability to make mods is pretty limited. As was said, gutting the electronics and replacing the motor...

    The Log House Project

We weren't in a position to keep the deer, but it was our option. Hard to haul it to the processor in the ambulance...and our only transportation nearby was wounded. I'm hoping the state trooper put it out of its misery, but he was busy with us for quite a while. Sorry we couldn't make the...

    Crazy SE shifting problem today...

Sounds like a bad switch to me, too, or a short circuit.

    Fog lights won't work

Are you sure you were connected to the foglight circuit. The Euro low beam connectors are in that area, too.

About to pull the trigger - some final questions

This sounds mighty fishy. I would never accept "forged" documents saying a vehicle is something other than represented. I think the dealer is up to something hinky! I would bide my time and look elsewhere, unless I could inspect the vehicle beforehand and the paperwork matched the vehicle...

Is there an easy way to change the key barrel on a 622 trailer?

    1. Remove inner panels 2. Remove the component support plate 3. Disconnect both latch cables. They can be pulled up to ease removal 4. Remove 4 retaining screws from the latch mechanism assembly 5. Pull main control handle assembly out of its location toward the inside of the trailer 6...

    The Log House Project

Update Just a quick note that we are doing pretty well after our deer encounter yesterday. Nancy felt pretty good after she finally slept and worked off the remainder of the morphine this morning. Her seat belt bruises feel better. I must have taken the blow with my arms on the wheel. The...

    Altercation at the Tag office

My doc tried to talk me into one, too...a permanent one. I refused, he said he knew I would. I never question the people who use the tag, you can't tell about disabilities. When you see a lone teen in the spot in a Buick with a tag, though, you have to think something isn't right.

Round RT-622 Trailer Plug - cut if off?

Be aware that the 2010 trailer has separate right and left brake light wires. This makes it easy to use on a 4-wire system, but if you go 5-wire you will need to tie them together. I would either use 4-wire without modifications, or skip the factory harness/module and go directly to the Spyder...

Is there an easy way to change the key barrel on a 622 trailer?

This is a complex procedure taking up three pages of the shop manual. I'd suggest purchasing a shop manual online, or taking the trailer to your dealer. to swap the barrels.

Front to Rear tire size ratio's

I wouldn't venture a guess. There are too many variables in tire selection. Besides a size that will work with the nanny and fit inside the fenders, you have to consider speed rating, wet and dry traction, and ability to shed water to prevent hydroplaning. In addition you have to consider how...

    Altercation at the Tag office

I am so sorry that you had to be subjected to that kind of display of ignorance and rude manners. Sometimes you have to bite your tongue and take things into stride....when what you really would like to do is beat them silly with your cane. Nancy has had a handicapped plate for her Spyder from...

Front to Rear tire size ratio's

No, the second number is the aspect ratio, the percentage of the width that the section is tall. It is no a direct measurement.

    Hesitation on hard right turns

Remember that the steering angle and steering torque sensors are constantly compared, to initiate distributed braking control to maintain your steering line if needed. The right and left wheel sensors also enter into the equation. It is not as simple as it might seem. I'm looking forward to...
