• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    The flap is held on with 4 push-pins and can be easily removed if the tire is off (or lowered with shock bolt removed). Without it, riders behind you will not enjoy the crap the tire ejects!

    If the tires are OEM (Kenda) you would be wise to replace them asap! Kenda tires are probably the poorest choice - even when brand new, let alone 15 yrs old! Search the scores of threads on this site for a complete understanding of why so many of us have moved to CAR tires for better handling...

    My '20 RT right front rotor warped at similar mileage. I replaced both front rotors & pads with EBC and haven't had any problems since. Current mileage is 39,000.

    You should consider the new Canyon instead of the RTL. It has much higher ground clearance than any other Spyder.

    I replaced the brake switch on my '20 RT. It is easy to do, but the RT requires removing the whole right side tupperware. The F3 SHOULD be a simpler swap. Edited to correct the switch is on the RIGHT side. DOH!

    You are correct IF the radio has BT and an external PTT button on the bars (or VOX feature).

    I recently had the same problem on my '20 RT Base. As recommended by Peter above, I replaced the OEM shock with an after-market shock (Elka) and all is good again. Buy once, cry once!

    Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

    I'm 100% solo and don't expect any 2-up so the Elka Stage 2 should be a good fit. The remote sag adjust is a great add but over-kill for my needs. If I need to tweak, it's doable at the collar. :rolleyes:

    Congrats troop! The new Elka is firmer than the OEM shock & bag combo. I haven't pushed it in the twisties yet and I may need to tighten up the fronts a tad.
