• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for another rider to join me on a Long distance tour, Windsor Ontario to Cape Breton to PEI to Newfoundland and back, July 2025!!!!

Agreed friends. Had a fellow from work. We travelled 20+ weeks a year for work and roomed together for most of those. I would ride up to his place in Charlotte and we would take the bikes on a road trip on our way at least once a year. Montreal for Three Rivers Race Track, Cincinnati and we...

Only One Oil Plug on 2024 RT?

+1 on replacing the oil plugs with the magnetic type one of our Forum guys has. Also I would recommend if your going to do your own stuff, get a torque wrench. Steel into aluminum can be bad if over torqued. I would recommend one that goes say 5 ft lb to 75 or 100. Should get most anything your...

iPod plug in trunk missing retaining nut - any ideas on where to find one?

Lock tite on abs plastic is not good. It melts the plastic and deteriorates it.

iPod plug in trunk missing retaining nut - any ideas on where to find one?

Boy that may be tuff. If its like automotive world, you probably would have to order the entire cable assembly. Yo may find a nut in the electrical section of hardware store that would work. I would try a plastic one, as if the threads are not exact the plastic would give up instead of buggering...

New 2022 Spyder F3T owner in South Florida

Looks like nice ride. I like the "gun metal" color. Those floorboards will be nice on some longer trips. If you have not been on a motorcycle (or spyder) before some motorcycle skills reading or video's might be a good idea. Most of can give tips like head on a swivel, or watch for the wheels to...

    New Battery - Ride Report

Well if you got home, you can research up a battery of your flavor and probably have it by end of week or so. I don't think "brand" is as important as getting a high enough rated battery. If you have a higher rated battery it doesn't have to work as hard to recharge, and your charge system...

At what mileage did you buy your first set of replacement tires?

For exact milage I'll have to dig in my files. But about 10k on OEM rear. But probably rode that about as far as should. I went with a Kelly Springfield. So far seems good, at least it has tread on it. Fronts still oem. For me I think tires will age out before I wear it maybe.

Here's a recent Ryker Filter Failure!

Looks to be a one off issue if you haven’t seen 2or 3 more. We had service Bulletin back in the day on the 5.9 Cummings. Do not use Fram filters. The material was literally shredding and clogged oil pickup.

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

We have had the SENA SMH 10 for cant even think how many years now. Multiple rain storms (we live and travel in Fla). Have not tried to pair with groups as we have not rode with others enough to need to. I have been able to get it to pair with the bike. I use in ear monitors that plug into my...

    Need a Madstad "T" Nut

If you still have 1 of what you need, go by Lowes, or better yet ACE and they will have some sort of metric wing nut that will surfice. My RSV windshield bolts broke (plastic) and had nutplates in fairing. Just had to match threads and some rubber washers from the bins and good to go.

Feedback on the new Forum Format?

I am fairly new any how. So I'll be confused a little longer. 🤔

Any ideas on what might cause this abrupt loss of power?

If you think its fuel related, try some "dry gas", seafoam or similar product may help. But my experience with bad gas is longer lasting than momentary, like it sounds to me. It will sputter and miss and not accelerate good, then clear out. Sounds more electrical. Possibly ground related or...

Any Full Synthetic oils that DON'T have issues with clutch slipping? RS V-twin motor

I have used Shell Rotella T-6 in all my bikes since like 2007. Kawasaki 900, Yamaha Venture tour bike Victory and now the Spyder. Never had any issues.

Another close call! I need more reflective striping!

I've been trying to figure out the loud pipes theory for years. If your trying to not get cut across the bow, how is all the racket coming out the back of the bike help? How about a Stebel type compact air horn? I've run them for years. Not fit one yet to the Spyder...

Yup that there is critter related.

New Spyder sold with no factory warranty - is this right? What say you all?

If it was "never registered" titled vehicle, full warranty should apply. It would in the automotive world, now in powersports I'm not sure.

F3 LTD owners - how do you run wires fm dash top compartment to h/bars?

I wired in a dual charge port to a homemade bracket mounted to handlebars. Wire is run up under tupperware from the left accessory port.

2011 Rear Wheel Static Balance - do it with hub & sprocket fitted, or without?

+1 on dyna beads (or similar) balance bead. My thoughts are if it is in the rotating mass it needs to be balanced as an assembly.

Can't begin to tell how many we saw today. Probably 80 Spyders in Deland at the Spyder Fest when we dropped by.

    F-3 Tire Recommendations

I went with a Kelly Springfield off Amazon in 205 flavor. Was about $75-80 and seems to be fine. Rides smooth, ran a long-distance trip up to NC from Fla 2-up. Unfortunately, I got the chance to check it out in the rain also.
