• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Race Tech Suspension

I've used them on both of my RTs and they are very good and of a very high quality. When I needed one rebuilt (my fault) it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. When it's time to replace the ones on my new 2020 (and it will be around 30K miles), I'll spend the money again to do it...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

I have to disagree. iMotorsports does a LOT of business off of this site, and most people who have dealt with them seem to have very good stories. I can't say for certain how they will handle this, but it is the easiest and best path to pursue first. If that fails, or they drag their feet...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

I can't imagine that it would be your responsibility to ask for a Spyder that can be registered legally in the state in which is being delivered to, where they know you reside, AND WHERE THEY CHARGED YOU SALES TAX FOR (correct me if I'm wrong on that). They blew it, plain and simple. An honest...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

When I called iMotorsports about a possible sale, I mentioned that I need a "50 state model" and they said now virtually all of them are. THEY SHOULD ABSOLUTELY KNOW TO SEND YOU A CA MODEL, as it was delivered there, and they no doubt collected CA sales tax. They did seem to be aware of the...

Does the new 2020 RT Limited need Baja Ron bar?

My experience in comparing a 2014 with a bar to a 2020 without one is that the 2014 with a bar is a much more stable ride. I don't think you need to be a speed demon at all - you'll easily feel the difference on the curves, even at the speed limit. Does it NEED the bar - none of them NEED the...

    2021-2022 Motorcycle Insurance Renewal

In the event of anything remotely serious, this wouldn't be of much help at all. I suggest getting as much bodily injury coverage as possible.

Does the new 2020 RT Limited need Baja Ron bar?

Yes. It's better than a pre-2020 without the bar, but when I bought my 2020 the first thing I noticed about the ride was that it just wasn't as solid as I was used to, and the bar made all the difference.

    January Weather News 2021

60 miles today in rain and wind returning from a three night trip on my Spyder retiring to my second home (with my wife on the back). 130 miles on Friday. Similar weather expected to get back to where I really live (just me for that one). So glad for the extra wheel!

curious and questions about getting my permit? (in Washington)

In CA you can ride a Spyder with a regular car license. I still decided to get my M1 (motorcycle endorsement) and simply did a two day class, at the end of which you take a test (everybody eventually passed) and that covers the driving part of the test. I then went to the DMV and did the...

    Heli bars on 2020 RT

Thank you everybody for your help, the bars are ordered. As Doug 44 pointed out, the bars on the other Spyders seemed such a good location and angle for so many of us, why not just keep that positioning?

Help Me Decide!! Going to wrap my tricycle this weekend!

More yellow might add a bit of safety, but aside from that both look great. If you haven't decided, perhaps give yourself another couple of weeks before you go in?

    Interesting Read

If only there were an alternative to Apple, of which there are several in every one of the very few markets in which Apple makes products. The nice thing is that I can use all sorts of headsets, cases and charges with my Apple phones and tablets, and my Apple computers also work with all sorts...

i just found this interesting article ...

Assuming this is correct (copied from the article), or even close to correct, these numbers bode very well for all of us. The more they are able to produce, the better the economics for all involved, and the more likely they are to have the funds for growth and improvement! It would also see...

    Heli bars on 2020 RT

Thoughts, please. I"m 5'6" (on a very good day) and found that adding Lamonster's raiser put my stock bars on my 2020 RTL in just the right place (if I turned them down as far as the pin would allow), but at too much of an angle to be comfortable for me. (Lamonster's Brake Riser was even more...

I’ve done it this time...key locked in frunk

Any thoughts on where to put it on a 2020 RTL? I keep a key in my wallet, but I'd rather hide it on the bike.

    Question about car leases

Agreed. Had I leased my last car, it would have been returned long ago. Having bought a Spyder, and using it much less, I simply own it and that made it a lot more reasonable to buy a new Spyder. Unless you turn over your vehicles a lot, and that isn't financially impactful on you, leases are...

First Post - How many miles is TOO many?

There are a number of Spyders out there that didn't get that much use, and aren't all that much more expensive. While the engine may be just fine, there are plenty of other parts that may start needing attention, and it may be due for an expensive maintenance. I would be far more tempted by a...

    F4 28", Xscreen addon, 7jurock 27" or Saeng Gen-4 edging

The X-Creen is well worth the cost, and dollar for dollar has been right up there with my Baja Ron sway bar in terms of a vastly improved riding experience.

Looks like I finally joined the club

Congrats, the 2020/2021's are a great step forward, and you'll love your new Spyder. Do check out the do's and dont's (the 2020 is internally still very much like the 2014 RTs forward).

Ryker vs RSS - What's your opinion?

Just my two cents, and I'm not in your shoes, but if you buy the RSS, does she like it as much, ride it as much, and keep it a long as an F3? Do spend more on maintenance and mods for the RSS? I'm in LA and just checked Craigslist for an F3, and there's one for 13.5, and it's a good bet that...
