• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

95,000 mile RT, would you buy it?

I've found that over time repairs become more frequent and more expensive. I was happy to sell my 2014 RT-S in very good condition with milage in the high 60's for about $9K. $15K is just way too much. There are much better deals out there.

    ECO vs standard gearing

If you'd like to push further past the response you get in normal mode and would like to have more of a sport mode (and not have to twist the throttle very far to get the power you may want), do a search here for "Pedal Commander". It's a great device for giving you the feeling of more power...

    Thinking of upgrading

I'm on the same page - you aren't saving enough to be in a pre-2000 model, at least unless you are one of the few who prefers that design. A little more for a new models is probably worth it, at least unless there have been significant upgrades that you would otherwise also want to do.

Dropping off Spyder to my local dealer tomorrow

$2000 isn't so bad given the age, and it doesn't sound crazy for the work. Congrats on such a long life, I sold mine around 68K.

2022 Lineup Build your new Can-Am

Surprised that the RT-L colors seem to be the same. I love my red 2020, but I would have thought that they would switch it up after two years of the same RT-L a lot more in terms of color. Otherwise, as I expected, the 2020 will basically be the same for about five years. As somebody else...

    I got it!!!!!

Congrats, you've got a great machine... except for BRP connect. Make your life easy, mount your phone, get a good bluetooth speaker system for your helmet, and take advantage of the many apps available and a system that will work rather well (instead of battling your Spyder on a daily basis).

    2020 RT Saddlebag Sticking

Yep, me too - have to do the knee thing. I'll try the fix, thank you.

2021 RT Limited with build date of June 2020. Any problems I should look out for?

Time can be a big issue, it tends to disappear when you take these out. There is also a tendency to end up much farther from home than you expected. (Do make sure they take care of any bulletins before they deliver it, including the gap between the back seat and plastic around it, but there...

Is it possible to display other ph apps on BRP Connect?

There really isn't any need to waste your time, get a charger hooked up and use a good mount for your phone. I really wish they had just skipped this particular "feature" or set it up with CarPlay.

Pedal commander questions on a 2021 RT

I mounted it right where it connects (more or less under my seat) and use the app to control it (which I barely do - I just found a setting I liked and don't change it).

To Purchase the extended warranty or not, that is the question!

Unless it's going to live in the garage, the benefits of the warranty tend to make it well worth the cost. I wouldn't own a Spyder without the longest warranty I could get.

Got my new Ryker - didn't even make it a mile

At least they were honest with you - that may not speak ideally to their competence, but it does speak well of their character.

Spyder Display Issue - anyone else? Any ideas why?

You will either be lucky, and this won't happen again, or it will. I had an intermittent display issue in a 2010 (which wouldn't show up for the dealer) but which eventually resulted in it being replaced. When it happens, pull out your phone and do a video of it if you possibly can -- play...

Can Am RT Limited 2021 suspension - is it any different fm 2020?

After just riding my 2020 RT-L home on the freeway, it felt squirly to me. It didn't feel right until the bar was installed. I think the bar (and the accompanying links) remain absolutely essential. To my knowledge, the 2020s and 2021s are the same bikes -- even the colors were unchanged.

Seat on Spyder F3T - what size sheepskin cover do I need?

I got their suggested size for my 2020 RT, and it wasn't a great fit, so I sent it back with a pattern that I drew and it is now a very good fit. The F3, of course may be a completely different story, but I was very happy with the level of service and it's crazy how much cooler it is when...

Short reach bars on 2020+ RT

Granted that it will cost you significantly more, but if you go with the Helibars there is a near certainty that you can adjust them to find a very comfortable fit. https://www.helibars.com/can-am-brp/

    Heli bars on 2020 RT

I can compare them to the Lamonster Risers, which are as good as risers can be on a 2020-2021 RT and appear as stock when installed (I don't think there are Can-Am branded risers). Unfortunately for me, while they put the grips in the right place, the angle was less than comfortable and I feel...
