• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Our First Trip

Congrats. Sounds like a nice trip. We usually do at least one multiweek trip a year. We typically ride 300-400 miles per day also. Our longest day was 517, but that was on our Harley before we got the Spyder. I hope I am still riding at 84. Currently we are both 75 ish

2021 RT rear tire change cost - did I over-pay?

I had my dealer mount a tire that I bought from Tire Rack. They charged me $108 to do the full job. So yes you were severely overcharged.

    Sprocket replacement appointment set up

Mine goes in next week. I could of had it done sooner, but had a shoulder replacement the end of February so I wanted to wait awhile since it is around 115 miles to the dealer with part of that mountain roads.

Anyone used Pinlock Ear Plugs? Are the industrial plugs better?

I use Alpine MotoSafe Race Motorcycle Earplugs. Got them on Amazon. They work great and still allow me to use my Sena 50S.

F3T Fog light modification to keep lights on all the time??

This is the standard setup for virtually all vehicles, cars included. Most of us want to use them for additional lighting not as true fog lights

F3T Fog light modification to keep lights on all the time??

I would think that is something that a dealer could do. I know that the dealer just hooked up the laptop to my Harley and, bingo the fog lights stayed on at all times.

Re TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS. Which one?

I don't give the Fobo a fail. It does what is is designed to do. It just doesn't mesh with my semi-OCD mentality.

Re TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS. Which one?

Probably not a popular opinion, but I had a Fobo2 and sold it. I found it very distracting. I was always obsessing over a pound or two difference. Now I just check before each ride and don't worry about it. If a tire has a slow leak I will notice it before it goes completely flat (if...

A question or two for those who carry firearms on them when riding

Yeah, like movie theaters, churches, cafeterias. No place is immune to some disturbed person going off.

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

When I started riding back in the 60's you didn't need an MC endorsement. Later in life I let my MC expire so I did an MSF course to bypass all the BS of taking the test at the DMV. After taking the course (and passing it) you simply took your certificate to DMV and they added the MC...

What's your 2022 RTL getting for gas mileage?

I don't buy 330 mpg unless he is running around at 35 mph. I haave only hit 40mpg once and that was on a road that was 55 speed limit for part and 45 for part. I normally get mid 30's for mpg
