• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Serious errors P0123, P2135, P284E, P2806. Please help

Wmoater, which headlight relay did you pull? There are 3 of them, main, hi beam, low beam. The main is grounded by the MSL. The other two are grounded through the ECM. Pull all three out and see what happens when you put each one back in by itself. If nothing happens with the main only then...

    Serious errors P0123, P2135, P284E, P2806. Please help

My bad. It's the CC signal from the MSR that comes to the MSL, not the throttle signal.

Interesting! I'm also looking at the 2014 RT wiring diagram!

    Serious errors P0123, P2135, P284E, P2806. Please help

By way of the MSL processor board, not by direct connection to the ECM. Actually, to be more accurate the relay is controlled by the MSL board which is controlled by CAN Bus signals from the ECM.

    Serious errors P0123, P2135, P284E, P2806. Please help

Wmoater, I think your trouble comes from left handlebar switch. The main headlight relay is activated by the ground side of the main headlight relay coil being taken to ground by the processor board in the MSL. If the processor board in the MSL has crapped out or been damaged in some fashion or...

A New way of selecting Reverse on the 2024's......

Thanks for the clarification. I thought maybe a physical limitation is why you reach across. Makes perfectly good sense. The wording in the owners' manual for operating in reverse for both the F3 and RT is identical. Neither one explicitly states the brake must be depressed to shift into...

How does 3” rubber fernco cap protect airbag?

Uh, you better check that. For each nominal diameter pressure pipe is same OD regardless of wall thickness. DWV pipe is NOT the same size as pressure pipe. Schedule PVC pressure pipe is the same OD as Schedule steel pipe. And no Schedule pipe ID is the same as the nominal pipe size.

How does 3” rubber fernco cap protect airbag?

You will find all the info you need in these two threads. Two items to be aware of. Doc's instructions are still on the 'net. The link in the post is good. Second, be sure to get the Fernco cap for Drain, Waste, & Vent PVC pipe, NOT for pressure PVC pipe which is usually schedule 40. They are...

2012 Spyder SE5 won't always start - anyone else experience this?

I think you probably are having the same problem I had with my 2014 RT. Check out these two threads about the problem and how I fixed it. Replacing the right switch assembly is the easiest, and most expensive fix even if you get a used assembly from a salvage yard. A new one is several hundred...

Does my 2012 RTS have a CB? And can I change Speaker balance?

Go to https://instructions.brp.com/e-instruction.html#tab=1 and click on the product name tab. Search for "CB radio". Review and/or download the instructions for the CB audio system. The lowest part # instruction is the one you want. It should give you all the info you need to use your CB. Both...

Anyone else with problems shifting their paddle shifter.

It's been quite awhile since I had the MSL opened up, but if IRRC the paddle shifter presses on two different bubble switches on a little printed circuit board. It would be a delicate procedure but you might be able to cut the trace that goes to each of the switches and then reconnect them by...

A New way of selecting Reverse on the 2024's......

I guess we handle the reverse shift operation differently. First, you do not have to press the brake to shift into reverse. 1st gear yes, reverse no, although doing so is a good safety practice. Then I use my left thumb to push down the R button and hit the paddle with my left middle finger. I...

Double vision display on 2020+ Spyder - anyone else seen/had this?

How hot was it where your Spyder was? 2017 and earlier displays would blank out when they got hot. Best use of the safety card was to shade the display from the sun. Maybe the 2018+ get double vision when they get hot.
