• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this likely to be Thermostat &/or Water pump?

The dealer just called and said it was a cooling fan relay.....I'm going to call B.S. It's not that the fans weren't kicking in .....they were, it's that the radiators would be ice cold....That's the problem! He also told me that one fan pulls air in and one pushes air out... both of my fans...

Is this likely to be Thermostat &/or Water pump?

Get a load of this! So, come home today after work and start it up and let it run for an HOUR and the fans turned on and off and hot air came out of the radiators perfectly.....no over heating at all. So I turn the bike off thinking it somehow fixed itself! After a couple mins I started it back...

Is this likely to be Thermostat &/or Water pump?

That's what's odd...I started if a few times this winter and I "always" to watch the temp gauge make sure heat comes out of the radiators when the fans kick on. But yesterday the fans turned on and no heat came out from the radiators ....ice cold. Now I don't trust it.... :(

Is this likely to be Thermostat &/or Water pump?

Bert, I would agree that the thermostat / water pump should not have went out at 10k miles......but it appears to have. I've read a few threads here with the same similar problem. I actually think it the thermostat not opening up. With the engine at temp. the fans were running, but no hot air...

Is this likely to be Thermostat &/or Water pump?

Got the RT out of storage and had it idling for a while hear the fans kick in didn't think nothing of it. Went to shut the bike off a few mins later and the temp gage was in the red. No heat coming from the rad fans.....radiators cold!! It the thermostat stuck shut? Or is the water pump not...

Clutch Slipping Per Dealer 2019 RT - does this sound right??

I would agree 100% with you and I don't think its going to fix my problem......but I going to go back to BRP oil to eliminate the possibility. Because mine started slipping as soon as I went to another oil......not sure why.

Clutch Slipping Per Dealer 2019 RT - does this sound right??

Edmat, My slippage that I talk about can, and has happened hours into a ride ...... completely random when the oil is hot. I know this is rare because there isn't much info here and I believe some think it's in my head ..... but it's not. I'm going back to BRP oil this week and see if it helps out.

Clutch Slipping Per Dealer 2019 RT - does this sound right??

Just ordered a BRP Oil change kit from amazon.......will change the oil back to BRP and see what happens when the riding season begins. Maybe my tanny doesn't like full syn oil???? But I know my problem all started when I got away from BRP oil. Also, I'll do the test you suggest. THANKS, PW

Clutch Slipping Per Dealer 2019 RT - does this sound right??

While at the dealer last spring they did update the tranny firmwear. I can tell you this all started when I went to to other oils and away from BRP oil..... Lamonsters oil and now Redline both have "slipped" never a problem with BPR. I have changed both filters and It didn't seem to help. I...

Clutch Slipping Per Dealer 2019 RT - does this sound right??

We also have a 2019 RT SE6 with a slipping tranny, but with only 10k miles on the bike. While riding down the road at a steady speed all of a sudden I can hear the bike pick up RPM's and when I look down at the tach it defiantly does pick up a couple hundred RPM ..... just for a second or two...
