• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Electrical hook up....

Regarding your first picture with the double ??, that is the starter solenoid and its battery connection lug. The red, soft plastic cap should be covering the lug to prevent accidental contact with anything from causing a short, but the additional wire/s added prevent it from doing so. Any...

Living in the deep south of Southern California, I have to ask... what's 40F? :joke:

    Based on net activity...?

As mentioned by others already, I first found SpyderTalk and spent my first few weeks exclusively there... then I found SpyderLovers. Over the next few weeks, I found myself here more often than there to the point where now I am here several times a day and there only several times a month...

    new three-wheeler bmw-powered

Unfortunately, at least in CA, a 4 wheeler must meet all DOT rules for an automobile, including full windshield, wipers, shoulder and lap belts and airbags, to mention just a few. Some states get all the fun. And at $65k - if I were to sell ALL my other toys... I still wouldn't get there, lol...

I think a urologist can help you with that BEFORE she finds out! :roflblack:

Oh, man... if that quad were only legal under DOT rules. I'd be all over that!

    Happy Veterans Day !

353, I thank you for your candor and I apologize for my quick, angry response. In your statement, even if we feel it undeserving, you have done something for us all... you've made us look at Veterans day a little bit harder with perhaps a bit more thought than we might normally do. May you...

    Doctor Spyder

Hell yes! And the $35 copay (that I don't have to shell out) puts a lot of gas in the Spyder's tank.

Hey, after the update, my cupholder no longer works.. you know, that cupholder thing 3/4 way up the computer that pops out when you push a button? Where am I going to put my coffee now? Can I get the update reversed?

    Happy Veterans Day !

Hypocrite? I, for one, was only 12 years old at the time. Even so, I was raised in family that thanks and honors our returning men for both their service to us and their sacrifice for our country, both THEN and NOW. Please don't paint us all with so broad a brush! Your all encompassing...

Thanksgiving Contest AKA Once upon a time..

So, I sat down to write this and by the time I was done, it was over two thousand words... sheesh. Back to the drawing board. Here's the edited version: I was hooked on motorcycles at age 12; my dad’s friend taught me to ride his Hodaka 90. The years didn’t help with my dreams, however. My...

    Spyder Crossing Hoover Dam Video

I was just there two weeks ago... too bad our timing was off or we could have crossed paths. The bridge arch is quite impressive! Did you make it down to the Skywalk? That was a trippy experience, albeit a bit pricey.

Installing the BRP Billet Front Shock Adjusters?

Thanks, Lamont. I have, probably, 20 ratchet tie downs right in front of my face, and didn't consider their value for this task... Simple, yet elegant!

thoughts, Apache tracks on the front of a spyder?

LOL, I've had several question my Spyder as just being a snowmobile with wheels... now you want to go backwards? Will tracks add any advantage on the front if they are not driven? I'd think skis would do the job - but the nanny is going to get upset with no sensor signals from the front. At...

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

2008 SE5, second owner (I purchased from an acquaintance). 9/08 to 4/09, 0 - 1000 miles, original owner: zero problems. 4/09 to present, 1000 - 3800 miles, me: zero problems both before and after the recall update - mileage did improve after. I did have one relay shake loose that I...

    Steering ABC's

Unfortunatley, these two bold statements, upon which the rest of your well though out hypothesis is formed, are just not based upon fact. The DPS IS capable of turning the bar by itself, not necessarily by design, but under some as of yet unknown fault condition. Its final stage is, afterall...
