• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie here - can I hook my Garmin directly to the battery? Is the Spring 2026 Android Update still coming?

Yes, which is enough to power a Garmin Zumo GPS. I had to do a bit of Googling as I didn't know the correct name for the USB power connector on the back of the Garmin Zumo. The connector is a Mini USB Type B. The cable that comes with the Garmin has a Mini USB Type B connector on one end and...

Newbie here - can I hook my Garmin directly to the battery? Is the Spring 2026 Android Update still coming?

Several people have posted about the accessory power port that's located on the right front side of the bike, and even mentioned wago lever wire connectors like on the Lamonster adapter. You do need that kind of connector, but the accessory power port is hidden behind a plastic panel that you...

2012 RT SM5 (A&C) - Where is my horn located?

I don't know. Does your horn not work? If it is working why not trying sounding it and looking where the sound is coming from?

Newbie here - can I hook my Garmin directly to the battery? Is the Spring 2026 Android Update still coming?

Then you have a glove box in front of the handlebars with a USB A connector. Connect your Garmin to that connector for power.

Newbie here - can I hook my Garmin directly to the battery? Is the Spring 2026 Android Update still coming?

@JC4givs, I would not connect directly to the battery. What year and model is your Spyder? There has been some discussion about whether CAN-AM can/will accommodate Android users in the future. First comment is that CAN-AM currently supports Apple CarPlay, which is not directly supported by...

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

I've put it on my calendar and am looking at the map to see if I can join you for a few days. (y)

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

This is an interesting question, whether the 2025 or 2026 has the accessory power port on the right side. I have this docking station installed on my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky: https://www.slingmods.com/canam-spyder-rt-2020-up-handlebar-mount-12-volt-docking-station-with-usb-charge-ports It does...

Your Weather News @ March Edition 2026

I woke up to snow on the ground this morning, and there's supposed to be more overnight with a low of 23° F. The good news is that the forecast calls for warmer weather the rest of the week, topping out at 80° F for Saturday and Sunday. Yes, I will be out riding!

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

I grabbed an Acrobat PDF copy of the 2025 Spyder RT Operator's Guide from this site: https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/P/5 On Page 34 it confirms that there is a USB port in the "glove box" in front of the handlebars, same as on my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky. I used a Garmin Zumo XT plugged...

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

I still have Basecamp installed on my computer but gave up on it. I asked Google how to import a GPX file into a Garmin 396 and it said: Computer (Recommended): Connect the Garmin 396 to your computer via USB cable. Open the device drive (labeled Garmin or zumo). Copy and paste your .gpx file...

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

Either route would work for me. I have a personal interest in visiting Bartlesville, Oklahoma to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Price Tower. https://franklloydwright.org/site/price-tower/ It's currently closed for renovations, but hopefully it'll be open by Summer!

How do I go about Resetting the trip odometer A & B on the 10.25 touch screen?

In the Operator's Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky it says you use the Statistics applet.

    Random thought for the day

And of course the committee would have to extend the length of the meetings, which means they would need to order brunch mid-morning, then lunch, and possibly a snack in the afternoon. Of course the company would pay for all of that, since they're in business meetings...

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

Apple CarPlay was a bit flaky when CAN-AM first got it working on my 2024 Spyder RT S2S, but the only time I've really had a problem with it was in a narrow canyon with limited cell phone signal. That's expected, of course, since it's based on your phone's ability to connect. I bought my 2024...

Here's some Weird Misinformation about Spyder RT's!!

Okay, for a couple of minutes I was thinking, "What the heck is he talking about?" and was actually doing a Google search... And then I realized what message thread you had posted in. I think I need to get some sleep. 🤣

    I got another New Helmet!

Since I'm a solo rider I have no need for the intercom functions, but I do understand how useful they would be. My main interest was in pairing with my phone and Spyder so I can hear the Apple CarPlay navigation instructions.

Does anyone know where/how to register, book hotels etc for Spyders In Atlantic City 2026?

Wow. That's a horribly designed website. I did find a Facebook group for them, but you can only access the information if you join the group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/3812030402368768/ It shows 65 members and 9 posts in the last month, so it's not very active, but it's also not...

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I was worried about what regular "car" wash and wax products would do to the finish, which is when I started doing some Google searches. I've been happy with the results on my Spyder.

Here's my Can-Am-pedia - I hope it helps to collect and share info about the Can‑Am On-Road universe.

Interesting. That would require a software update for our bikes in the next couple of months. I just checked the Apple App Store using my iPhone for the BRP GO! app. There was a new Version 4.1.1 posted a week ago. It says the update added the ability to save a custom waypoint at any time, and...

    I got another New Helmet!

Thanks. Mine has most of that, including the speaker pockets and wire channels, but the HJC website says the i91 supports a newer bluetooth device design. I use a SENA 3S Plus boom headset in mine. Mine also has the drop down sunshield, which I really like. I wear glasses, and while I do have...
