• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

I would check to see what the torque spec is on that bolt! Myself if those two spacers only press to the sides of the shock bushing, I would call that a very crappy set up! It puts a lot of strain on that bolt. It should be setup like the factory shock was setup with a shaft all the way through...

Are there any Can Am Clubs or Riders/owners have a Spyder in The Villages, Florida?

Yes guys, but Florida's got some great swamps, gators, snakes and nice coastlines, if you can get close to them!

RTL - brake pad replacement intervals. Just replaced my pads at 21,000 miles. Is this a fair mileage?

There are a lot of variables to this question and what I get for miles on a set of pads is not necessarily what you will get! I would say that for stock pads, you're not doing too bad. I would use EBC myself, but that's me! Stopping when you need to is a good thing!!!

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

Are you physically bottoming the shock out? Does he have any kind of damping adjustment on that shock? Is it a rebuildable shock and how many miles do you think you have on it and how old is it? That part you called out 150 is that all the way through the shock head with that bolt going through...

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

It's kind of too bad that someone doesn't make floorboards for that model! Not totally sure if it would help with the brake pedal position tho!

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

All of your add-on's that you have listed are great items and the one's you want to get would be definitely on my list if I was you, but I am floored on the service charge for the shocks! I have done that job on a 2012, and about to do it on my 2025 and I don't know it's not that big of a deal...

After seeing your pictures, the risers will help a lot, you're slumped over like you're going to a race! No wonder you're feeling like are! Possibly an RT would have been a better choice for you.

Anyone else get this Howling Noise? What's the fix?

Good luck with the test ride!!! Make sure it's around the same year and model, because it will make a difference. My 2012 RTL sounds completely different than my 2025 S2S, and I don't mean just the difference between the 998 and the 1330 motors, it has different sounds coming from under her...

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

It sounds you have to get the bars and foot pegs in a different position for your body! And maybe relax your grip a little! And then it's new to you, but has there been any aftermarket stuff done to the bike, like sway bar, tires, shocks, front end alignment? All of those will make the ride and...

Shifter woes have me stumped... Won't shift up - again! What's my next step?

You're going to do a FULL drain and fill, you're going to dump the trans also right? With both filters, and dumping all oil pour 3 1/2 qts in run it, run it till the fan comes on twice check the level adjust till it's in the full zone on the stick!

I get a Leg pain after riding the RT for more than half an hour - anyone else? Any solutions?

Some of your problem is that you're using muscles you haven't used in a while, and you are tensing up most likely when turning! Try to relax and just hug the tank with your legs more.
