• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want to set up the new key cylinder I have to use my existing key - where/how

Hey Rag. What you are wanting to do is "re-key" the new cylinder to the old keys. A locksmith does that - not just a hardware store, but a professional locksmith. You’d have to remove the new cylinder, if it’s already installed, and take it to his shop. Get an estimate. Won’t be cheap.

Where can I get a 2010 RT parking brake cable? Any other options?

Hey Ricky. There's just a bit of mis-diagnosis here. Cable stretching, if it occurs at all, is so minor that adjusting for that is well within the capability of the adjustment mechanism. Instead, adjustment of the cable is required to compensate for wear of the rear brake pads. Something to...

Have any of you added an Aux Tank to a 2020+ RT?

Leroy. Mr. Orange. Post #14. Just a fuel cell and a transfer pump. No impact on emissions or codes. Keep it simple. https://triketalk.com/threads/aux-fuel-tank.12026/

Bummed out waiting for a part

Vito. Rear speed sensor? Was it damaged? Where’s the machine now? I'm asking because it wasn’t that long ago a member here had a fault on the rear sensor. Turned out that it, and the hole, was just caked with dirt and various other kinds of road scum. Took it off, cleaned everything...

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

If you have the manual, then you already know that your oil pressure is within spec. The 58# "regulator" is meant to be more of a relief valve, than a regulator. Oil pumps create flow. They are a positive displacement pump. It is the resistance to flow that creates pressure. The oil pressure...

How to check Throttle position sensor? Will a new TPS work without calibration?

Well, it certainly looks like you've killed your TPS. Even though I'm very curious, I won't ask you to explain how you did that and why you were so sure from the beginning. Anyway, I think any tech would recommend that you replace your TPS; or perhaps try the reset first, and after that...

How to check Throttle position sensor? Will a new TPS work without calibration?

So, you don't have any throttle response at all. I trust that you have done the basics and checked all the fuses, and made sure the electrical connectors are dry and plugged in. There is a Throttle Acceleration Sensor in your twist grip on the handlebar, that sends the command of how much...

Any chart/pics to show where Oil change O rings need to go?

Gary, Gary, Gary. Next time, change them one at a time. The two thinner ones, go on the oil filter stick. One has a larger diameter than the other. Study it closely, and you can tell which one is the inner, and which one is the outer. The two thicker ones go on the engine drain plug. Again...

How to check Throttle position sensor? Will a new TPS work without calibration?

No, it requires calibration / adaptation with BUDS if it has been loosened, removed, or replaced. It is tucked up under the air box down on throttle body. You have to try REALLY hard to get it wet. Are you sure that is the sensor you are talking about? You really should pull up the fault codes...

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

Exactly. The outside air temperature is meaningless. It is nothing compared to the temperature that the oil experiences inside of your engine. 40 weight is what the engine manufacturer recommends for that, and 40 weight is just fine. Thicker is not always better, especially for a clutch. If...

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

No, your manual isn’t wrong. When I went from the 998 to the 1330, I discovered exactly what Rocket was saying. New oil is so clear, it doesn’t show very well on that dipstick color. It can be over that upper bead onto the cable, and look like it’s not even showing. Look for oil in the little...

Strange fault code at start up - P0135 - any ideas?

Keep in mind that an O2 sensor is an emissions component, and thus is covered by a vehicle's emissions warranty. See the warranty information in the back of your owners guide. However, you have two un-related symptoms. A failure of an O2 sensor's heater circuit DOES NOT cause a Limp Mode. So...

Can I unplug the parking brake module - need micro switch part#

Hey Tom. If by "handle" you mean that little arm, with the little roller on it, that pushes down on the switch button - then here's your part number: 710001379 It's the same micro switch that is used for the brake pressure switch, So that's why it will be called brake pressure switch in the...

Need service - Code C1282 - anyone know an independent mech in Louisiana?

One last word on the topic..."Speed Bleeders". And as long as you’re already crawling around on the floor, you should at least LOOK at the pads while you’re down there. You can see them from the side of the calipers, front and back, without having to remove them. 1mm is the spec. This might...

Need service - Code C1282 - anyone know an independent mech in Louisiana?

Hey Bob. Yeah, that whole issue is nonsense. They turn their backs on customers AND revenue. Moving forward. When a vehicle gives you a warning screen and a code, it is telling you that something hurts. Despite all of the tricks, voodoo, and what used to work back in the 70's that you hear, the...

Any videos on 2013 RT SE5 clutch replacement? Special tool availability?

A friend of yours has asked you to replace the clutch in his 2013 SE5 Spyder RT. Why? Are you sure? A new clutch design for the SE5 was introduced for the 2013 year, that is pretty bullet proof. You must be looking for this tool...

2024 RT Ltd ticking noise - dealer can't hear it! Any ideas?

Welcome 59 Ford owner. Yes, there should be a gap between the belt and the inside flange of the rear sprocket. However, check for that only after driving forward, in a straight line, under engine power for 40 to 50 feet. Alignment changes when in reverse, and when spinning the wheel by hand with...
