• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT Limited dark vs chrome

It's all aesthetics, nothing else. I had seen the blue in both chrome and black, and that sold me on the chrome. A cost difference based on availability put the cost of chrome for me at $3,000, and I ended up going to see one in red/back. In red, the black looks better, at least in my...

What do you think of the 2022 RTL Running board lights?

For anybody using the CanAm's, does the floorboard riser present an issue with the install?

Worth it to upgrade 2012 RTL?

I've owned the same three years, and completely agree with you. My 2010 had issues, but as I understand it the 2012 was significantly improved. Still, the biggest upgrade was the 2014 and I wouldn't every buy anything earlier than that at this point in time - and if one can afford a 2020+ I'm...

Thanks for doing the hard work of putting our money to good use, Martin.

I need an extended warranty after the 5 years BRP allows. Is there a company?

Call iMotorsports - I think they have a company that will do that for you.

Oops - left my 'key' in the Ryker...

I haven't only left a key in my RT, but I've left my iPhone mounted to it as well... with the power on. So far, I've been lucky.

Dealer Gouging on 2022 Ryker models

Just out of curiosity, how many people here would refuse a great deal on a bike that a dealer needs to clear out because the dealer will loose money on the deal? Are we gouging when we take advantage of a glut of product to pay less than we ought to? How about selling your used unit, either to...

Got a quote on a 2022 spyder RT (base model)

I can be a pain to do an out of state for CA, but it is worth it in some circumstances. I used a private company to fill out the registration paperwork, and given the difficulty of getting to the serial number on the engine, they let me slip by. That blue one from Monk is a great deal.

Stuff for my new RT? Your input is needed.

Baja Ron's Anti-Sway Bar, as others have said. For me, at 5'6", the Lamonster's brake pedal exension and a solution for the too far away handlebars were also absolute musts. I ended up with Helibars, but they are costly. Lamonster's handle bar risers also work very well, but I wanted the...

Have you installed Pedal Commander? Where did you mount it? Why?

I put it right where it plugs in, found as setting I liked, and forgot about it. If I ever need to adjust it, I have the app.

    Brp go

I love my 2020 RT-L, but I miss the simple instrumentation of my 2014. Apple got a lot of heat for not doing what it didn't feel it could do well. Does anybody remember how upset everybody was that it wouldn't run Flash, which, in the end, no phone that I know of ever ran, or how upset...

CAN AM auto cycle slingshot competitor?

I can't see that they would do any more than split an already thin market. I prefer that they keep their attention to improving and growing the Spyder/Ryker brand. I do think that there were safety issues with three wheeled ATVs a number of years ago, and they wisely stopped making them. If...

95,000 mile RT, would you buy it?

I've found that over time repairs become more frequent and more expensive. I was happy to sell my 2014 RT-S in very good condition with milage in the high 60's for about $9K. $15K is just way too much. There are much better deals out there.

    ECO vs standard gearing

If you'd like to push further past the response you get in normal mode and would like to have more of a sport mode (and not have to twist the throttle very far to get the power you may want), do a search here for "Pedal Commander". It's a great device for giving you the feeling of more power...

    Thinking of upgrading

I'm on the same page - you aren't saving enough to be in a pre-2000 model, at least unless you are one of the few who prefers that design. A little more for a new models is probably worth it, at least unless there have been significant upgrades that you would otherwise also want to do.

Dropping off Spyder to my local dealer tomorrow

$2000 isn't so bad given the age, and it doesn't sound crazy for the work. Congrats on such a long life, I sold mine around 68K.
