• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do other Short people have an issue reaching the 2025 RT Sea to Sky brake pedal?! What are others like me doing?

I have a 2020 RT-L, which ought to be fairly similar, and I"m 5-5. I've added a brake pedal riser (absolutely essential) as well as floorboard risers. I also changed out the handlebars and eventually went with Helibars to put hands where I want them to be (Be careful to get the right...

Feedback on the new Forum Format?

Small request, but I would also like to see 25-30 posts before clicking "view more". I wouldn't mind the square profile pics returning (over the circles). I miss the post counter, but I imagine that may not be transferable. And, I have a suspicion that reducing image size if too large may...

Apple CarPlay update - what is the secret to getting it working properly??

It sounds like CarPlay is just as bad as the previous version of the cluster without CarPlay. It should work, no question about it, but from what I have read here there is little chance that it will work in the way that it does in my car. I wouldn't stop testing it if that's important to...

I Am Amazed no one has mentioned the 'New Look' site!

I just am seeing it now - it's nice to have it updated. Thank you to whomever did the work to make the changes!

Will a 2024 Sea to Sky let me navigate via my Samsung phone?

I'd consider fully bypassing the Spyder and just getting a good holder for your phone - that's what I do with my iPhone, and I don't have to deal with BRP dash, which really never works properly, and it is very limiting. Sometimes the easiest answer is the best.

Spyderlovers IS NOT UNSAFE - the Security Certificate did Expire, but is now renewed!

Yes, but my post was actually a new thread that was then moved here from a separate thread on the same issue - it would have been best deleted. I wasn't aware of this thread or I wouldn't have bothered with it.

Spyderlovers IS NOT UNSAFE - the Security Certificate did Expire, but is now renewed!

Not sure how to reach the current powers that be, so I'm posting it this way. The site is coming up as a security risk because the security certificate has expired. Hopefully this will be seen by the right person, and the post deleted for me. As always, thanks for keeping the site going!

New Spyder sold with no factory warranty - is this right? What say you all?

At least the dealership was honest about the warranty - admittedly strange, but they did let you know.

Another close call! I need more reflective striping!

BRP makes a great light that goes on the floorboards, it's hard to miss. The BRP model is really solid: https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/us/en/219401038-driver-floorboards-signature-lights-can-am-spyder.html

Anyone here been stopped for using a Brake Free unit?

I love mine, and haven't had any issues in California. I tend to think that I'm not likely to get in trouble for something that makes it safer for me and those around me, and so far I've been right. If a cop was just looking for an excuse, perhaps this could be one, but most have better things...

What is the number of hours required to assemble an RT?

I waited for my RT to be assembled in 2016. It took two guys a few hours, as I recall. The dealership did know what they were doing, fortunately.

Urk... Frunk won't unlatch... Is this a common problem?

Don't feel badly - when I got my Spyder I really had no idea what I was doing. What feels obvious in retrospect, is often completely unexpected when it's all new. (I learned: don't ride with your foot on the brake, not even a little; and if it fails to start, there is a switch that cuts out the...

2025 Pulse and Origin Reveal - did they fail mileage hopes?

What I've read seems to say that if you put decent miles on a vehicle, EVs are better overall for the environment - but I've seen good cases made on both sides. I do think it's hard to compare a relatively new technology where we can continue to get more and more efficient, and create new...

Are Dealers 'dumping' New-Old-Stock Spyders instead of selling latest models?

In the past I would have thought that a nearly identical machine a year or two older, with a better price, would be a bargain. Now, my concern would be that it seems many dealerships only service for the first ten years, which would now be down to eight. At the very least, if you go with an...

Recommend any rides around Santa Fe after Labor Day?

I'd look at the Rever app, which has the Butler maps integrated into it. You'll do best planning and viewing on your computer. There are good rides not very far away. You can sign up to Rever for a month. It's worth the cost. When I tried to upload a screen shot the site just wouldn't do it...

Letting go of my 2014 RTL - what is the best way to sell?

A person-to-person sale will virtually always get you the best price, as any entity who intends on re-selling has to be able to mark it up to make the transaction and any work worthwhile. So, if you sell to a re-seller, you'll get less than it's worth to the eventual buyer. I suggest listing it...
