• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this the VSS not working? Anyone experienced it before? What came of it?

I disabled the pillion switch, as I didn't like the nanny being so intrusive when riding two-up. Yes, it is much easier to lift a wheel with a passenger, but I do it regularly solo as well. It's one of the few fun things the nanny will let you get away with. I really do wish it would let me get...

    I really like Disturbed's version of this song, but I'm a lifelong metal-head. 🤘

2010 RS SE5 with 300 miles. Yes, actually less miles on it, but it won't start! Please help...

I suspect your fuel injectors may be stuck. Try cranking a few times and pull the plugs. If they're dry, the injectors may be stuck closed. If wet with gas, they may be stuck open and flooding the bike. Once you do figure out the problem, if it was flooded, I'd change the oil before running...

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

Mine can be cancelled by tapping the brake, pulling the clutch lever, or flipping the cruise switch off.

    Finally got my Spyder!

I'd do the sway bar first. Just the end links will not make a noticeable difference. Second, I'd do the CAT delete. Mine sounds great with the stock muffler, it gets rid of a LOT of heat, and if you decide to tune, it increases performance a bit.

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

Many toy-hauler trailers seem to sit quite high, likely because of the holding tanks underneath. Even with a beavertail, the short ramp door is quite steep, and would likely cause difficulty with a Spyder. My 28' InTech ICON race trailer is much lower, and has an additional 4' ramp extension...

Do Tinted Helmet Visors diminish your ability to see out in the dark/night?

I bought my wife and I Sena modular helmets which have the drop-down dark visor. It works well in bright daylight, but I wouldn't want to try to ride at night with it down.

87 Octane seems to work just fine

I wouldn't hesitate to use 87 if I were unable to get anything higher, but I'd be careful not to use heavy throttle and to keep the revs up. I'd also be refueling with 93 at the first opportunity. The Spyder is a toy. If I couldn't afford to put the proper fuel in it, I can't afford the toy.

Is there a backup brake on a 2011 Spyder if the Pedal brake fails?

Not much more you can do, but look for an alternate path.

Is there a backup brake on a 2011 Spyder if the Pedal brake fails?

A problem with the hydraulic brake system will likely give you a warning before complete failure. Pay attention and check things out if you notice a spongy pedal, or if anything just doesn't feel right. Remember to check your brake linkage regularly, especially the fasteners and pins that secure...

Intro and my initial problems with the throttle sensor and DESS on my 2011 RT - fixed now tho!

I understand your hesitation, but free advice offered online is hardly something that one could be held liable for. As far as ownership, I'd think a scan of the vehicle title and their drivers license should suffice. Not many criminals would offer up that info to steal a vehicle. ;)

Intro and my initial problems with the throttle sensor and DESS on my 2011 RT - fixed now tho!

I'd suggest you offer this info via DM to anyone who genuinely needs it, and can offer evidence that they actually own the bike in question. There have been people who bought bikes from a widow or others who didn't have the original keys.

Thoughts on Pedal Commander vs Pedal Box - & where's yours mounted?

Technically, you are correct, however, I doubt most people can twist the throttle fully in under 75ms. I think most people on here understood what I meant, and if the grip is twisted at the same rate, the throttle will indeed open faster. The issue for me is that I have trouble twisting the...

Thoughts on Pedal Commander vs Pedal Box - & where's yours mounted?

My opinion on these is why bother? They don't actually add any power, they just make the throttle open a bit quicker as the grip is twisted. I installed a PV4, and had Fuel Moto do a custom tune, which did add a noticeable amount of power. I also used the DynoJet tuning software to tweak the...

What's YOUR Number One Favorite, Model & Year, of Spyder you'd own given the chance?

The only model I'd buy different from mine is a 2016 or 17 F3S SM6 Special Edition, solely for the Sport Mode. BTW, anyone know a method to flash the later code into my ECU? It'd be awesome to add Sport mode to my F3S.
