• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need P/N for black body panel just between rear foot pad & front vent/wing?

It's not this part here? Part 129? Don't forget to order the foam (64). Or...if it’s not this, you could post a pic.

2014 RTS Analog temp gauge not working - any ideas?

You could check F7 Left, but I'm sure it's ok. You'd have a lot more things going on if that fuse was blown. And, you've activated the digital displays, and verified that the sensors are working OK, because you have good indications. On your 2014, the engine temp sensor feeds into the ECM, which...

Help Needed - F3 Air Intake Modification

A burble. So what? And please don’t say that this means it’s running lean. It’s not. If it was, you’d get the code. There’s no carburetors anymore. That’s in the past. The ECM automatically controls the AFR. Train yourselves up on Closed Loop and Open Loop operation. You're in Closed Loop at...

VSS triggers at start if I forget to shift to neutral before shutting down - normal?

^^^^^^^yeah, what he said.^^^^^^ By the way, not shutting it down "properly", as you put it. There's no such thing. The Spyder is designed to be shutdown, and restarted, if it is not in Neutral.

2014 Spyder RT fuel gauge has failed for THIRD time in 29k miles!

Naz...I think it would be a better idea if you got your own manual. 25 bucks. https://canammanuals.com/product/2014-can-am-spyder-rt-series-repair-and-maintenance-manual-master-collection/ Once you do, you'll see that the cluster runs everything regarding those gauges. There is no separate...

How often should I apply grease to the drive belt?

You’ll probably remember this now. It was intended to only be done when needed, not a routine maintenance item. Sometimes the squeak is not always limited to acceleration, or to only 2008 - 2012 years. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lo4Rhuev6h5Nzarx6LrT31DWktWwMByq/view?usp=sharing

2011 Spyder with warning light - BRAKE FAILURE - any ideas on how to fix this?

+3 for brake fluid level. Add fluid to raise the sensor floats just above the outer ring of the sensor... both chambers. Oh, and after you’ve done that, check the diaphragm seal under the cap to see if it has begun to unfold and expand. If it has, just push it back in. It will pop back into shape.

Why do my Backup light and console lights stay on with the key off?

Well Tiny, I'm looking at your 2022 Operator's Guide right now. I don't have a 2022 diagram. I think that we're still struggling with right and left. You specified the you are talking about the RIGHT side fuse box as you are sitting on the bike. Well, fuse F6 in the RIGHT side fuse box is...

Is there any way to keep the windshield up instead of raising it each ride?

Yes, there is... at least on the '20-'23's, so try it on your '24. Immediately after you turn off the key, press and hold the Windshield UP switch for about 5 seconds. Then you can let go. This cancels the auto retract. You might even hear a faint relay click while you're holding it, but 5...

Which Lithium Ion battery maintainer - same Lead acid tender, or a new Li tender?

Any Lithium battery designed as a "drop in" replacement for a lead acid battery (flooded cell, AGM, etc) in a vehicle / power-sports machine, has an electronic system on a circuit board, usually at the top of the battery. Called the Battery Management System - BMS. That makes the lithium...

I want to set up the new key cylinder I have to use my existing key - where/how

Hey Rag. What you are wanting to do is "re-key" the new cylinder to the old keys. A locksmith does that - not just a hardware store, but a professional locksmith. You’d have to remove the new cylinder, if it’s already installed, and take it to his shop. Get an estimate. Won’t be cheap.

Where can I get a 2010 RT parking brake cable? Any other options?

Hey Ricky. There's just a bit of mis-diagnosis here. Cable stretching, if it occurs at all, is so minor that adjusting for that is well within the capability of the adjustment mechanism. Instead, adjustment of the cable is required to compensate for wear of the rear brake pads. Something to...

Vito. Rear speed sensor? Was it damaged? Where’s the machine now? I'm asking because it wasn’t that long ago a member here had a fault on the rear sensor. Turned out that it, and the hole, was just caked with dirt and various other kinds of road scum. Took it off, cleaned everything...

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

If you have the manual, then you already know that your oil pressure is within spec. The 58# "regulator" is meant to be more of a relief valve, than a regulator. Oil pumps create flow. They are a positive displacement pump. It is the resistance to flow that creates pressure. The oil pressure...

How to check Throttle position sensor? Will a new TPS work without calibration?

Well, it certainly looks like you've killed your TPS. Even though I'm very curious, I won't ask you to explain how you did that and why you were so sure from the beginning. Anyway, I think any tech would recommend that you replace your TPS; or perhaps try the reset first, and after that...

How to check Throttle position sensor? Will a new TPS work without calibration?

So, you don't have any throttle response at all. I trust that you have done the basics and checked all the fuses, and made sure the electrical connectors are dry and plugged in. There is a Throttle Acceleration Sensor in your twist grip on the handlebar, that sends the command of how much...
