• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

List your top things to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving

Wow. Not sure many people can top this. I am thankful to come home from work everyday and have my children meet and hug me at the door.

    Fox Shocks

If there was indeed adjustable damping, I am pretty sure that Can Am would have listed it as such. It is a big selling point when it comes to the suspension industry. They would not have left that out. If they did, I am awfully surprised and perplexed. Now go prepare that turkey !!! ;)

    Fox Shocks

If that is the case, then I apologise. My information stems from this: Suspension: » The new gas-charged, anodized-aluminum FOX Racing Shox front shocks on the Spyder RS-S models are adjustable for preload and have improved compression and rebound damping. The shocks, which provide a 33% weight...

    Fox Shocks

Well, my comment was more directed in terms of what kind of options you are getting for the price. Yes the Fox are cheaper, but they do not offer any damping control. The stage 1+ Elka's are a little more expensive but they have rebound control and plenty of preload adjustment. I do not think...

    A Cowtown Story

Now my long winded story: To openly write about a business relationship in not something I normally like to do, simply because business is business....but Len has taken it to another level. My first contact with Len from Cowtown was over the phone in December of 2009. He called to inquire...

MOTO GP starts this weekend, anyone else watch this

I am not sure what is happening with Suzuki either. Bautista has confirmed that he will be riding for Honda Gresini next year ( taking Simoncelli's spot), and the tesing so far with the Honda's ( at least the Repsol team) is going very well...

Lamonster RTW Project- Elka Stage 5 front shocks!

The new rear shock ( Stage 1+) for the rear is probably the best bet in terms of replacing the stock rear. Its not too expensive ( $549) and will be a big improvement over stock in terms of dampening the big bumps and hits. Your passengers will certainly appreciate it.;)

Lamonster RTW Project- Elka Stage 5 front shocks!

The Stage 5 shocks for the ATV and the Spyder are not entirely the same. The Stage 5 front Spyder shocks are $1595. The rear stage 5 will be in the works if we see that there is enough demand, and it would retail for $1295. John@Elka

Lamonster RTW Project- Elka Stage 5 front shocks!

    1) The appearance of the shock has changed from a remote reservoir application to a "piggyback" shock application, making it more aesthetically pleasing for your Spyder. 2) The shock bodies are all aluminum instead of zinc coated steel, making it the lightweight and maintenance proof. 3) The...

    Spyderfest Hotels sold out!

I ran into the same problem as you did. I contacted the Baymont Inn & Suites in Sullivan, MO and booked a room there. They were very friendly and seemed to have lots of rooms left when I called last week...

Elka Shocks and Two Brothers Exhaust

If you are standing on the outside of the wheel ( left side for example) and moved to the front of the vehicle, I would turn the knob towards the left to "open" to valve to allow more oil flow. Because its an emulsion shock, opening the rebound will both quicken the response time of wheel...

Elka Shocks and Two Brothers Exhaust

Are the springs installed towards the bottom of the shocks unlike the stock ones where they are up? If they are installed right, turn the bottom knob towards the left by 3-4 "clicks", it should soften the shocks a little. John @ Elka

MOTO GP starts this weekend, anyone else watch this

Seth - no, nothing could be done. Colin Edwards saw him and just braced himself for impact...same for Valentino. Imagine the heartbreak for Valentino....best friends off the track, constantly hung around each other, and Valentino was basically taking Simoncelli under his wing. Rossi hitting...

MOTO GP starts this weekend, anyone else watch this

I was also watching it live and was shocked at what I saw. The only comfort is that he did not suffer. He was gone at the moment of impact. Simoncelli was, in my opinion, to be Moto GP's future champion. He could not only ride like the wing, but had a character that everybody loved. At the...
