• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NOVEL IDEA - FOR ALL WHO ASK QUESTIONS

Mike, like or thank? I went back and liked all the replies. I didn't realize this was proper etiquette here. I'm not a Facebook person so the things on the bottom are new. Should I go and thank them all in addition?!? Just confused. Thank you for your time and your responses to my posts and...

    Why don't they waive??

Interesting. On my Yamahas, I'm in full race leathers and boots, ff helmet, and gloves like I'm going to a track day. On the Spyder, it's a touring jacket and pants, gloves, ff helmet, and boots. I do the ATGATT. It didn't occur to me thst I'm getting judged. If someone is offended by safe...

    Why don't they waive??

When I used to ride a Harley, I would waive at everyone. I will live. It's amusing to see the difference while riding different bikes. Even while riding my sport bike, Harley guys won't always wave back. Sport riders will. On my Harley, the sport bike guys wouldn't wave.

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

That's a good point. I'm not sure. I'll go check. Yes, your "supervising rider" can go with you as a passenger. He hopefully will take BRC to get his license in NY in April. We went out. I got him to shift higher and today was much better than yesterday. I think we will be okay!

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

Nah, thirteen years and holding! The Spyder is an SE. We don't have ATV access, though that would be fun! We will both continue to ride on two wheels. We are going to the Dodge dealer to have them look at the check engine light on our Challenger. I'm riding the Spyder there, my husband will...

    Why don't they waive??

Bob, that was funny!! :) I actually saw a trike yesterday with a woman who looked like she was wearing a house dress (grandma style, not a diss, I adored my Nana), reading a book on the back.

    Why don't they waive??

I normally ride a sport bike. Before this I had a Harley. While riding the sport bike, I might not get a waive from the hard core bikers, but most still waive. Yesterday was a nice day with lots of bikes out. I waive to everyone. If I had to estimate, maybe 10-20% waived back. My husband was...

    Getting close

The manual is really straight forward, but the semi auto is a nice feature. +1 for imotorsports They have the best prices I was able to find and they will even ship it to you included in their low price. I didn't buy from them but almost did (they had a leftover 2014 RT that sold). They were...

Thanks. I'll let him know that.

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

Trust me, I read the whole thing twice. He won't read anything. I tried to distill it down as succinctly as I could. He can take it out by himself, I won't go on the back again at the moment. Will running it out of its powerband hurt it, like lower than the 4200 recommendations?

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

His testosterone won't permit stuff like that. Last night, we went for ice cream, up a quiet country road. I asked him to let me ride for part of the way so he could see how I was shifting. He finally agreed but had offered to walk home first (if his bike broke down, he would walk instead of...

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

How long did it take you to adjust to the Spyder? Background- I bought this so my husband and I could take trips together, especially longer trips. I started riding before he did, so he's pretty new to motorcycles (2 seasons). He rides a cruiser. He went on the Spyder, did not like it, was...

    General ryding question

We are on Long Island, but the Spyder is at our other house in PA that we go to often. If you are ever in the Lancaster area, let me know. We will be in PA for the summer.

    General ryding question

I figured it would, but I didn't notice anything lighting up and we were looking. I'll go out back and look in the manual. It's time to clean it off anyway. Okay. Figured it out. I was holding the button down for the emergency break. You need to tap it quickly and let go. It has stopped beeping...

    General ryding question

I've been pushing down the parking brake, that's why I don't understand the beeping :) I've tried pushing it after I put it to off, before, I turn it to off, it still beeps! Eventually the bike will stop beeping, but I wish I knew how to stop it in the first place :) Thanks, Bob!

Where do you store your Spyder?

The Spyder is in my garage with the other bikes. The Camaro is outside for the first time. Ack. Should I cover it to avoid wildlife, or is being in the garage sufficient? I'm still going to explore other solutions since I want better for the Camaro. It's good it's not alive because it would...

L.A. to Vegas - is there a fun way to go?

I wish I could remember the road, but when we got married and drove across country, there was a town in the middle of absolute nowhere that's almost like a nomadic community on the drive from LA to Vegas. That was bizarre and was fascinating to visit. I'll see if I can find anything about it...

    General ryding question

I gave them permission to sit the little kid on it. Now, the BOUNCING up and down, yeah, that was my problem. And, there are a few scratches that weren't there before, I'm done. As far as it rolling, wow. I wonder what the liability is. I'm a physics teacher now, but I used to practice law...
