• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Speedometer accuracy - when I set my Cruise to a certain speed, the speedo doesn't match - any others??

Speedometer accuracy has been an ongoing discussion issue here since Oct. 2009, the furthest back a search for speedometer accuracy goes. I've read that changing tires can improve the accuracy. Another issue that has been discussed frequently is the accuracy of the clock. I believe the clock...

2025 Spyder RT: Any Cautions to note before purchase?

I have a 2022 RTL so I cannot respond to your Carplay question, nor can I answer your traction control question. Reliability: I know some previous models from a few years back suffered from Limp Mode, Error Codes, cooling fans that won’t turn off, and similar. I really don’t want to drop 30k on...

Losing a bit of faith in Can Am - enjoy the riding, but not the endless waiting while they find parts and fix all the niggling issues!

Water shouldn't affect the switch under normal hose washing. If you used a power washer, then I would say 'maybe'. Perhaps you didn't engage CC properly? Anyway, once I've turned the CC switch to the ON position, I never turn it off. In other words, whenever I ride it is always ready to be set...

What could cause this Squeal on starting out in first gear?

When you get it changed, please provide an update. I have the same noise and discussed it with my tech. He told me 2 other riders I happen to know complained about the same noise. On one of the rides, BRP had him change the alternator, and other parts connected to the alternator, but the noise...

So, how fast can a spyder go and safely make a sharp right turn at an intersection?

2024 RT Limited 'Suspension Fault' messages flashing on the screen - suspension compressor or no?

Your statement "That air bag system is really not made for bikes" may be true for 2-wheel bikes and other trikes, but not so for Can Ams that have the ACS (Air Control Suspension) or the manual air suspension system. The ACS and the manual air suspension systems have been on RT LTD's since 2010...

When Only On Street Angled Parking is available, do you back in, or drive in?

The parking is angled for pulling-in else you have to maneuver your ride in reverse, blocking traffic. In all pull-in parking spaces, I park with the rear of my ride even with the rear of the vehicles to my right and/or left. This prevents a vehicle driver from thinking it's an open space and...

My Back between the shoulders hurts after 6 hours of riding - anyone else? Would handlebar risers help? Is this normal?

I have a 2022 RTL, and I had the short bars installed when I purchased it as one arm is shorter than the other. The next thing I did was to add a handlebar riser, as the right side of my back began to ache on long rides. The last thing I did was to adjust the handlebars so that my arms were more...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Hi Jarrett, A little late to the party, but thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. I agree with many of the posted comments. I would also recommend taking a 3 Wheel Course. I was riding a RT for about 3 years when I took the course sponsored by BRP and I did learn a few things that improved my riding...

What Headsets will work with 1/2 helmet & 3/4 helmets?

I use Cardo Packtalk and on my 1/2 helmet just connect a wired ear bud to the unit into my left ear with the boom mic and the cradle attached to the left side of the helmet. I buy the wired ear bud at a dollar store and cut off one of the ear bud leads, wrap the excess ear bud wire around the...

Ever driven your Spyder onto a ferry?

2014 RT not Shifting into 1st or R after shutting down - any advice?

Does it affect re-starting your ride? I've noticed, once recently , that when I restart my 2022, the screen shows 1 or R but still starts then shows N. The reason I just noticed this is that usually, I start my ride while putting on my gear, so I don't look at screen.

Looking for a trustworthy dealer in the Westchester, NY, area for new Can-Am - any recommendations?

My friend uses Dutchess and has had no issues. Anyway, Artic Adventures in Rosedale and Dax Powersports in Queensbury have good reputations.

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

From my experience your kill switch is working properly. Hit the kill switch, the engine stops immediately, electronics stay on. This enables you to restart the engine quickly without going through the start-up procedure. You turn the kill switch back to 'Run', press the start button, and your...
