• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Hobbies do you have other than the Spyder?

Besides the Spyder tours, my summer hobbies are boating and photography. During wintertime, I put my cameras on my telescopes and try to capture some deep sky images. A cold but rewarding hobby for me, when the sky is not clouded over that is. Here is our nearest neighbouring galaxy, "Andromeda".

Tell Me Something Good About Your Spyder Ownership Experience

When I got my driver license for a car back in 1978, I was allowed to use the license for a 125cc mc. Never had any use of a 125 cc until my daughter moved out and started living in another city. So I bought a cheap 125cc Tourer and thought I could use this to and from work and my wife would get...

Need to Adjust Seat Backwards after dealer visit - any hints on DIY?

Just a thought; did you have the seat raised when trying to wiggle it backwards? Just to be sure it is not the latch bolt under the seat that keeps it in the "locked" position.

    Random thought for the day

Someone had this sticker on their rear bumper: "I am a veterinarian, that is why I drive like an animal !" It made me think about how many gynecologists there must be on the roads !!!;)

So many complaints about the Spyders. Anyone with no problems?

My 2012 has been running fine I must say. Some issues at first, but covered by warranty, they fixed those quickly. Since then, I've replaced a few batteries; rear wheel abs sensor once; replaced the air compressor once; and last year the drivebelt was replaced. So all in all, not the biggest...

Lift Jacks Revisited - what's a viable lift jack to SAFELY raise a Spyder?

Not from the UK, but my Spyder lift is and I have nothing but good things to say about it. https://us.on-bike.com/motorcycle-lifts/canam-spyder-trike-lift

Where do you jack the Spyder Up?

Hi there Hancop. I have a 2012, but I would think you could place the jack on the rather wide and flat frame tubing that is shown on this picture. As for plastic underneath I have no idea if the frame is covered on the 2024, but the picture hopefully gives you an idea on where to place the jack...

Anyone tried "Speed Bleeders" brake bleeders?

Put speedbleeders on my RT this year and I just wish I had known about them earlier. My brakes have never been this easy to bleed.

The compressor on 2012 RT doesn't run - any fuse? Where?

Acccording to my Norwegian manual, the fuse is in the frunk and a 20A fuse located at number 8 on the picture. I had to change my compressor nearly two years ago, but the compressor was still turning. On my 2012 it was the counterweight that had broken off from the piston rod. Hope it is...

    3 days - two hotels - 472 miles and my 2012 RTS

Ty sir and it was. Hope you make it over here sometime. Lillehammer is famous for being the host of the 1994 winter Olympics, and the local community still benefit from it. Many Norwegians emigrated to America due to bad times over here way back, my wife has family in Minnesota somewhere.

    3 days - two hotels - 472 miles and my 2012 RTS

Finally, a couple of days with some blue sky and warm weather, so the wife and I sat down with Google maps and planned a road trip. Decided we would go West first, then head inland for some mountain roads, before setting the course for home. First destination was "Byrkjedals tunet" a group of...
