• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT Vent Kit Installation Help

Read my posts above. Yes, I found the scoop kit in stock at a dealer. Part #219800388 Depending on your year, you may not have the acoustic panel to replace with the bracket. My 2019 did not.

    How's your gas mileage???

For my 2019 RT, I notice these three things make a huge difference in my MPG, (via keeping an eye on my instant MPG stat screen and watching my estimated miles until empty drop): 1) overall speed (anything over 70mph, and it plummets quickly.) 2) wind direction and wind speed (this, coupled...

How should a novice check brake pad thickness?

And then there's the metal Amex cards, which are too thick to even get into some readers! lol

How should a novice check brake pad thickness?

I've read up and watched some youtube, but I'm wondering what is a reliable way for a novice to check brake pad thickness until this novice learns by sight? I don't mean how to get to the pads for inspection ... I know how to do that. I'm asking for what's a non subjective "that looks like at...

So, how fast can a spyder go and safely make a sharp right turn at an intersection?

YES! Especially if you are heavily loaded, two-up, etc. BajaRon's helped mine very very much. It's also very much technique. You definitely can lean into the turn and it will help. Also, I have found putting my weight on my legs, especially the outside leg, rather than trying to hug the...

Are there any Ear Buds with Remote control for basic functions?

I use these with my half helmet, haven't tried them with the full helmet, as it has a Cardo, but I think they would fit under there easily. These also do double duty of blocking road noise, providing some tunes and nav from my phone, and is easy to control via the neck "collar"...

DESS disable wanted - at Green Country Jamboree Sept '24?

Following. Both for the same question, and to try to get some info on the event. Their FB page is very quiet. I've reached out to the host listed, and she told me to contact Dan Scott, who hasn't replied. Does anyone know how big this will be, what vendors will be there, any planned events...

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

In the summer, I wear fingerless white ones that cover my knuckles and have padded palms for the off chance that I do any sliding. Fingerless gives me finer motor control with the throttle and buttons. In winter, I switch to full finger thermal ones.

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

I checked them both every gas stop on the way back, lol. I probably will continue that habit for quite some time.

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

Update: the L shaped wrench found at the venue didn’t tighten it down enough. It had worked its way loose 15 miles later. I was able to purchase a 3/16 hex socket and wrench and got them tight enough to make it back to Dallas without any movement. But the screw is starting to round out, and...

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

3/16. The venue we are at happened to have a tool shed and some good samaritans and I got it back on. The other side was loose too. When I get home, I’m putting some loctite on them.

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

I’m 5 hours from home and the below happened. I even have a hex set with me, but the set screw is somewhere between the 4 and 5. I think I can limp to a hardware store, but does anyone know exactly what size I need? I knew it was off when it bottomed out on a dip. There’s a pretty good ding in...

I did not know that. Nice!

Is there any way of locking the Glove box on a 2010-19 RT??

Agreed, I was referring to Woodaddict's mention of this locking the frunk. My key bezel on 2019 has symbols on it for showing lock, gas, and open frunk.

Is there any way of locking the Glove box on a 2010-19 RT??

My frunk (2019) is always locked. I have to release it with the key push down and turn. (Opposite way of the seat for gas.)

Is there any way of locking the Glove box on a 2010-19 RT??

Someone would have to know that's actually a glove box, and then spend time prying it open. I do lock the glove box and bags when I stop, when I remember. I have even mistakenly left my key in twice during dinner, and come back to find it still there, but I know it only takes once. But I...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today I also lined the top of my “glove box” with some heat reflective insulation to hopefully keep the sun’s radiant heat out of it. I’ll never be a professional vinyl wrap guy, but I don’t think I did too bad with all the multiple angles and such.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I installed BajaRons magic magnetic mirrors and some safety tethers I bought 12” 45# fishing leaders and the marine connectors as shown off AMZ. (I had to file the each of each mirror screw just a bit using a drill and some sandpaper to get the screws to fit in the mirror sides.) Easy enough...
