• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any thoughts about running Car Tires On The Rear?

If you got 20,000 miles out of that tire you did well!!!

Radiator fan changed behavior after oil change - what would cause this?

It sounds to me that it is working as it should. My 2012 would not come till it was over the halfway mark. Are you using the analog or digital gauges?

Are there any Lift kits available for RT's? Something to raise ride height?

Normally loaded is the big point in the equation here!!!! Riders, gear, ect, ect, then adjust! If you load it for a long trip, then drive with that in mind, or jack up your adjustable preload a little more. If you have the stock shocks, well you're out of luck, thank you BRP!!!!

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

Ya, I believe you may have something here if it was trying to update it had to have a solid connection for the update, hopefully on your home network, and don't pull away till it's done!! If by some way it was hooked up to the phone and taking the update and you dropped into a hole and it broke...

    FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

I think you're doing a noble thing here. and good luck with it sincerely, but I hit your parts link and just for kicks tried to highlight a part and get a price and it didn't do much. I don't know if you had intended it to, but it didn't work well! Good luck I hope the higher ups work with you...

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

By the time you buy an open trailer, which I would not do, and get all of these things to help keep it clean, locked down and such, just bite the bullet and get yourself an enclosed set up and be able to keep it clean and safe from road grime and hazards!! The panels on these new bikes are SOFT...

2010 RS SE5 with 300 miles. Yes, actually less miles on it, but it won't start! Please help...

From my experience with the old iron, you're better off thinking out of the box and taking your part numbers to shops that specialize in the parts and get the latest and greatest replacement part that you can find!! If you try to get BRP involved, you will have to take it to a certified dealer...

2012 RT Brake failure and parking brake lights stay on - any ideas?

Yup, Shawn made a good vid of that, he said bring it right up till it just touches the down hand, inside lip of the filler neck then make sure the v cut in the inside rubber cap and the bump on the outside cap will be to the uphill side of the reservoir when the cap is tight because that is the...

Did an upgrade Sway Bar improve your handling? Which one? And what about Shocks?

I know it made a big difference when I did my 2012 RTL. I did the sway bar first; then a year later I did the front shocks; then a year after that I wore the front tires off it and put on car tires, front and rear, that was the cherry on top!! I love the roads down there in Tenn, a bike is the...

Getting close to decision time. I need some input from those who have ridden an F3-L and RTL?

You can mod both rides to fit you. I would try to find an F3 you can take out for a test drive, the footrests can be pushed out for your long legs, have them show you that U-fit feature - of course, they may not have a brake rod the right length to make the brake pedal right, but they can get...

I had a problem after my first brake job years ago with my 2012, I can't remember what I did to get rid of it, but someone chimed in and told me that move, and it solved my problem! Good Luck; I hope it helps!
