• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do Tinted Helmet Visors diminish your ability to see out in the dark/night?

Just to clarify, the modular HJC C91 helmet I wear has a completely clear face shield. When the front of the helmet is closed, the clear face shield can be adjusted to several positions, from fully closed to fully open. There is a small tab on the lower edge of the face shield you use to open...

What can I do with my iPhone connected to the Spyder through the BRP Go app?

I have been able to get Apple CarPlay working successfully on my 2024 Spyder RT, after some teeth gnashing, banging my head against the wall, and uttering a lot of four letter words in the general direction of Can Am headquarters. The 2024 Spyder RT has a 10.25" display, a nice size increase...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

The screw inclines the backrest, which is another way of saying that it moves the top towards the front or towards the rear. It does not move the entire backrest. So some type of additional padding may be your only hope. :(

What did you do to your Spyder today?

There is a little bit of adjustment for the driver's backrest, although it might not be enough for you. There's a screw at the base of the backrest. Turn it clockwise to increase the incline towards the back of the Spyder, or counterclockwise to incline the backrest towards the front of the...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

Sorry, but Octane has nothing to do with the temperature that the gasoline burns at. All gasoline grades contain the same amount of energy for the same volume of gas, and burn at the same temperature. Octane is a measure of compressibility. Performance in this context means engines with a...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

I like toys, and my Spyder is definitely the most expensive toy I've ever bought. And I happen to like the fairly large windshield on my Spyder. :D

87 Octane seems to work just fine

Using fuel with lower than recommended octane won't harm the engine, and you're right that the "computer" will adjust the engine so it safely uses the lower octane fuel. But unless you put it on a dyno for testing, your impression that the performance, acceleration, etc is the same is just your...

Has anyone used one of these trailers? Any doubts?

I went with a Stinger CAN-AM trailer. Pricey, but specifically designed to carry a CAN-AM 3-wheeler. https://stingertrailer.com/product/stinger-for-can-am-spyder/ And it folds up to store nicely in a corner of my garage:

Do Tinted Helmet Visors diminish your ability to see out in the dark/night?

I ride with an HJC C91 modular helmet. It has a "sun visor" that can be manually lowered over your eyes when you're riding in bright sunlight. It can be raised completely out of the way when you don't need/want it.

Rear Trunk Box not Locking/securing the trunk, despite the dealer adjusting it to the fullest - Any ideas/guidance/suggestions?

On my 2024 Spyder RT S2S I have to push down pretty hard for the top case to fully latch. If I don't, then I can push up on it to open it.

Sorry, I should have quoted Ex-Rocket's comment about them being cinder blocks because of the holes.

From the BRP GO Website: https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/discover-can-am/connectivity/brp-go.html There's also a "Watch How" video on the page that shows how to connect your phone and use it.

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

I went with the Google Maps app for my iPhone. It comes with Apple Maps, but Apple's map application does not support the import of GPX files, something I find useful. With the Google Maps app I can create a route on my computer, even doing drag and drop to get the exact route I want, then tell...

While the signal from a cell tower doesn't include it's physical location, the location of your phone can be determined by the signal strength from each tower it receives a signal from. Anyone who watches enough police TV shows has probably seen the police locate a cell phone by determining...

Can I get GPS on my 2024 S2S 10.25" screen; or GPS Software/Hardware, Apples to Oranges, or maybe not...

For an iPhone, it depends on which Google result you trust. The iPhone has an "aGPS" chip, which stands for Assisted GPS. I've seen it referred to as aGPS, Assisted GPS, and Assisted-GPS. It uses GPS data, but it also uses cellular networks and Wi-Fi signals to determine your exact location...
