• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    First 'long' trip

I too have been thinking about the air hawk or wild ass, let us know how it works out for you. Although, the OEM is not bad, so it sort of breaks down of how much better the air hawk is for the $. I got the butt buffer, but found not any better than OEM.

Short reach bars on 2020+ RT

I changed to the short reach because it was more convenient for the wife who has her endorsement. Just a tad close for me, but not bad, not bad at all.

Battery Dead, seat not opening - does it need power to open?

Hello Sledge, did you move from the Tampa Bay area? I have a friend that lives in TN, he loves it and the mountain riding.

    Reminiscing About Days Gone By...

Living in Florida and having been to many Daytona Bike Weeks back in the day, I was never surprised at the stories told. I bought a $6 can of beer and that girl came after me for a $6 tip. Did I pay up,oh yeah, I did.

Do you think we'll see Spyders with DCT soon?

CVT on the Spyder, I suppose BRP could do that, would I buy first edition? No way! In addition to the increased complexity, weight, cost, and waiting until the dealer could get parts and and time to fix a problem, oh well, you get my drift. I'm sort of old school and like my 2020 RTL the way...

Review: Lamonster 2020+ RT Mirror Locks

KX you have a point with Honda. It is rare to find a Honda dealer that will even touch a Honda Trike. On the other hand, Honda makes a long list of motorcycles, BRP makes what, the RT, RTL, Ryker, and maybe one I missed. These machines have not changed much over the years, and the same Rotax...

Anyone tried Mobil 1 10W40 Full Synthetic Oil?

Break out the pop corn, but simple question. Anyone using 10/40 MobileOne. Thinking about it in my 2020 RT Ltd, just thinking that's all.

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

Thinking hard about 15/40, it's working for you? Tell how it's better for you than the 5/40 if you will. I know it's heavier, and may even reduce the mpg.....

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

Oh yeah, I know AR, I live in Sebring FL, and I want to make a trip to his Greenville just see what needs done on my 2020 RTL. I'm sure there's something I can't live without. I have a friend from Post Office days that lives in Kodak, TN, wants me to visit. Greenville is only an hour or so...

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

Ron, I think your comment says it all. I see the Spyder a complicated piece of equipment, and I'm not even a mechanic. Just thinking about getting the Tupperware off gives me pause. But my 2020 RTL speaks to me in good ways, and always does what I ask of it giving me that comfortable ride...

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

Overall, BRP has a good product with the Spyder, it's too bad they don't exercise more control over the dealers and the tech's. But then that's probably a problem with most of the motorcycle brands. Most dealer's are now charging $125/$150 an hour work on the Spyder, to me that's high dollar.

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

Ron, are you using 10/40 Synthetic, if so, what brand?

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

Oh yes, why they dumped the 10/40 is none of my business, but I continue to look for another brand I suppose, which might be Mobil One.. I had a wild thought of half T6 Rotella 5/40 and half T6 Rotella 15/40, but that could be a dumb thought.

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

Wow, a serious day trip to get there early and get it done. Worth every mile if you trust your dealer and the Spyder mechanic.

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

Ron, you talk I listen. Mobil One is all I can find in the full synthetic 10/40, is that what you are using?

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

Wheer are you finding Rotella T6 10/40? I'd love to use it but I can't find it.

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

You are so right PMK, I live in FL, and it's 40 miles to my nearest dealer I avoid going there if possible, not because it's bad, but because it's a day out of my life just sitting around doing nothing. If my Spyder did not fire up and run for whatever reason and I could not fix it, that would...
