• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Nitpicking the 2024 RT

I dunno, haven't made up my mind yet, but at least it has a few lines. Now, for the seat strut???

F3 Ltd - what kind of luggage bags do you use? Or a rack & extra bag?

Back in the day when I was doing 'long rides', stuff bags worked for me. Hit the big box sport store, or Amazon for a source. Stuff bags are inexpensive, you can get lots of 'stuff' in them, easily for a week or more, even for two up. Rolling clothes works well. Stuff bags are a little more...

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

Well said Traveler. I shall continue my waving regimen. :-)

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

Maybe 'we' are making to big a thing of this wave or not wave. I'm not offended if I wave and the rider does not. Maybe he didn't see me or maybe a lot of things. But no matter, the other guy has a choice to wave or not wave. It's not really 'a thing' in the big scheme of life.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hi Zig, Sebring here, I'm guessing around Lakeland for you.

    Electric Spyder next?

Who's gonna be able to buy these EVs? Government subsidies? I don't see it, I just don't see it. But that's just me.

    Electric Spyder next?

Lee, I'll have jump in and second that comment on the hybrid Prius. I've owned and driven that vehicle as my only transportation, except my Spyder, since 2003. I now drive a 2019 hybrid Prius with just over 30K miles with an average 60.2 mpg, with no problems. Just change the oil every 6K...

    Electric Spyder next?

If BRP can not build a seat shock that works, how can they possibly build an electric three wheeler? It's somewhat of a joke, but jus sayin.

Anyone know the length of a '21 RT-L OEM Seat Strut?

Yes, McMaster-Carr was what I was trying to think of, believe it was two for $15 and change. Even with shipping charges should be less than after market. Thanks Iceman. Now I can think about getting rid of my 'stick prop'. How about that, a 2020 RTL with a stick seat prop, that just ain't...

Anyone with '20+ Spyders tried Front Fender Lighting fm ShowChrome & TricLED?

I was thinking about the TRIled, and wondered about durability. I'm sure it works fine for some, but not taking the chance. It is not something I need to make the Spyder go.

Anyone know the length of a '21 RT-L OEM Seat Strut?

Good question, following to get some information for my 2020 RTL. Dealer replaced mine under warranty, lasted about a week, cost me a day back and forth and hanging at the dealer's. What a hassle. Now using a reliable stick.

48 States in 27 Days at Age 84

Traveler, you sure enjoyed your run on the Spyder, hope I can enjoy another year or two. Thinking I might have to get a hip replaced that was replaced in 1998, we shall see, not looking forward to the Dr. visit. 2020 RTL

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

TCBoone, Dave handled this 'lost item' in a very professional manner. He put a new 'revised' one in the mail and it ain't gonna fall off in a busy street. ....Thanks Dave.

Looks like it's time to give up the ride - thoughts fm others who've faced this?

I keep following this thread, it's good to find out what others are thinking/doing in similar circumstances. Like most, I/we delay the inevitable for as long as possible. My 20 RTL sits in the garage on the battery monitor far more than it should. So as a follow up on grumpy old cop, I have a...

Looks like it's time to give up the ride - thoughts fm others who've faced this?

Thank Mickey, just saying, there is less room in a Miata than the 47 gallons on a 20 RTL especially the convertible. Maybe we'll figure something out. But as you say, "at 90" one begins to look at life a bit differently.
