• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In Memory of those Members who are now riding the Forever Road - RIP

Sad, but many of us will meet up with him later on down the line. RIP my man. You left us with a lot of good knowledge and advice.

Does your Saddlebag need to be slammed to latch?

I've had a side bag come open while on the freeway once before. Caught it before anything was lost. Since then, I have always given the side bag a medium rap with the heel of my hand to make sure it's latched. Only once since then have I found one not completely latched. I've done it so many...

Diesel engine oil in a gasoline engine? Check here.

FWIW, HD riders have known for years that if you find yourself out in parts unknown and needing oil for whatever reason, any diesel motor oil will get you home without harming your clutch or engine.

Is anyone using one of these Lifts to work on their Ryker?

I have one, but don't use it much. It's not as stable as I like it to be. Safety first.

Can I use a 3amp Battery Tender to charge my Spyder?

A low amp charge over a longer peroid of time is much better than a high amp charge over a short period of time. One of the conditions batteries really hate is to be left empty. It shortens their lifetime.

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

I've ridden the dirt and street for more years than I care to remember on many different brands and styles of machines. JMYO, but I know of NO true crossover machine. A true off road ride is designed to go down and get back up, and continue on. Street machines are not designed for that. Even...

Any problem transporting a Spyder RT (2015) on Flatbed without wheel chocks.

A bunch of years ago, I was trailering my 2 wheeler and stopped for lunch. Came out to get back on the road again and some SOB had stolen my ratchet strap tie downs. There my bike was sitting on the trailer on its kickstand with no tie downs. What the hell? My wife (girlfriend at the time)...

Has anyone used front wheel 'roll into' chocks on your trailer?

I also paid $200 for a pair back in around 2018. Then I started searching for a trailer. I bought a second hand Aluma trailer with Super Clamps already mounted on it. So all of a sudden, after searching and searching I ended up with two pair.

Has anyone used front wheel 'roll into' chocks on your trailer?

I use Super Chocks for the Spyder.

Do you have to pay for shipping a NAPA Oil Test, or is it Pre-paid?

I was told back in February that Napa no longer does oil analysis. So, I went with Amsoil analysis.

Is there a Key Blank available for 2014+ Spyders?

The blank that fits your Spyder is a Triumph key. And yes, you have to grind off the shoulders of the key to make it so it will go all the way in. I'm not familiar with the handlebar locking because I've only used it once. However, turning the handlebars lock to lock on a blacktop parking...

Do you change the way you ride with a trailer attached? For safety??

Right on EdMat! That could help solve a lot of folks' problems with bouncing trailers. Thanks

Do you change the way you ride with a trailer attached? For safety??

I recall seeing a shock absorber addition to an OEM Spyder trailer hitch mount somewhere. Damned if I can remember now where I saw that. Does anyone else remember seeing it?

Has anyone else noticed excessive Right side front tire wear?

Check the jam nuts on your tie rods.

Has anyone else noticed excessive Right side front tire wear?

Yep, you are toed-out all right. It's easy to check. Measure the distance between the tires on the front and on the back side. Getting a true measurement on the back sides can be frustrating, but it's doable. Check with BajaRon or Squared Away on the exact measurements. I believe toe-in should...

Leak comes and goes? Shop did not find it. Help???

Right front? Yep, that's exactly where my first and only leak occurred: a loose lower radiator hose clamp. Jack it up, or better yet, run it up on a couple of ramps and remove the front skid plate. That will give you a view to access the bottom of both redaitors and hoses. Take your radiator cap...

Do you change the way you ride with a trailer attached? For safety??

Crashing a trailer 500 miles away from home can be a very unwelcome experience. Make sure you have your credit and AAA cards with you when and if it happens. A couple on this site or another site (I don't remember which one) arrived home after a crash likely caused by pulling a trailer, without...

Anti-Theft Locking License Plate Fasteners, which are best?

To prevent that, cross hatch your sticker with a razor blade so that if they try to remove it, it comes off in little pieces. Also, don't allow your stickers to build up, one on top of the other. Those are the easiest to remove. Last I heard, in my State, DMV would replace a stolen sticker at no...
