• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are your thoughts on any potential reliability/issues of this 16 year old Spyder?

Google doesn't seem to agree with you, and I don't remember anything in any of the business classes I took that mentioned a law requiring parts availability for a specific period of time. I have a BS in Business and an MBA. There is some liability if the manufacturer is unable to provide parts...

It now shows up as an embedded video in the post. The first time I clicked on it the video played. The second time it tried to take me to the website and required a login. So... mostly fixed. :D

Just bought my first Spyder! Considering buying a warranty as it sat for 4 years - your thoughts?

What kind of warranty? Is it a BEST warranty, that you can use at any CAN-AM dealer? Or is it some other warranty sold only by that dealer, which means you can only take it back to them for warranty work? I would consider taking the money they're asking for the warranty and put it in a bank...

What are your thoughts on any potential reliability/issues of this 16 year old Spyder?

The more than 10 years old would stop me, since you can't get parts from CAN-AM anymore.

Looking for a Spyder Front End Alignment service in the Nashville, middle TN area; or a Rally coming up with a vendor doing that - any suggestions?

Have you contacted one of the CAN-AM dealers near you? I bought mine from America's Motorsports in Madison, TN, but it appears they also have a location in Nashville. https://www.americasmotorsportsnashville.com/

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

Yes, you can use a Lithium battery with the correct capacity and amp hour ratings. If you are using a battery tender/charger make sure it's made to handle Lithium batteries.

Any apps/converters to allow Android phone map use on 2024 S2S with ACP?

My 2023 Honda Ridgeline Owner's Manual says it supports Android Auto by connecting an Android phone to the same USB port I use to connect my iPhone to use Apple CarPlay. I did see the following note, which made me smile:

Any apps/converters to allow Android phone map use on 2024 S2S with ACP?

I don't remember anything specific from BRP/CAN-AM about why they didn't build in Android Auto support, just that they supported Apple CarPlay. If you are an Android user you could look at adding something like a Carpuride device.

I've never heard that term, despite having lived in Indiana for about 10 years. But Google found this article on the Ohio State University website: https://extension.osu.edu/about/resources/corn-sweat-and-humidity-few-facts-explained Edit: Oh, and Indiana White Sweet Corn is the best! (y)

Spyder's in the Ozarks in September 2025? Where do I find information? I'm registered for the Appalachian Fall 2025 event in Kodak, TN at the end of September, and the Maggie Valley Spyder Adventures the first week of October.

2023 Spyder RTL- How do I view the voltmeter?

Sorry, my original response was for the 10.25" 2024 display, which does have a voltmeter. The smaller 7.8" display on the 2023 Spyders doens't appear to have one.

Anyone else getting this "Update Server Unreachable" message for Software Update Ver 4.1?

I was able to connect and download the 4.1 BRP Connect update on July 7th using the WiFi network in my house. When I was downloading the update it did mention that it included some bug fixes for Apple CarPlay. On July 15th I took it for a ride that lasted a little over 3 hours. Most of the trip...
