• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anybody heard any rumors on the 2025 Spyder Models? New line-up released!

On my car, it senses the distance that you are away from the car in front of you. So if you have cruise set on 65 and you come up behind someone going 55, it will match the 55 speed until they move out of the way. Then it will resume the speed that you currently have it set. On mine, I have 3...

Has anybody heard any rumors on the 2025 Spyder Models? New line-up released!

I don't plan on updating anytime soon, but that adaptive cruise control would be nice. My mustang has it and I consider it to be one of those things that I didn't know how much I would appreciate it until I had a chance to use it. The biggest update that I would have liked on my 2021 RT would...

How big is Too Big for a Ryker? What's a good price?

Thanks for that information. No, I am not into off roading at all. But there are a couple of dirt and unpaved roads that I have really wanted to explore in the NC/Tenn mountains, as well as at home. A good example is the dirt road to the observation or fire tower off Wayah Rd. just outside of...

How big is Too Big for a Ryker? What's a good price?

I am on my Spyder number 5 and 6 (2016 F3L and 2021 RTL). I have always had good luck with them and am truly a fan. I also have a 2-wheeler that I have enjoyed. I have lately thought about giving up the 2-wheeler and possibly picking up a Ryker Rally. My reasons are that I just feel safer on the...

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

Thanks, I will look into that. One of the most interesting ones was the 83-year-old guy who did 48 states in 38 days (or something like that). He did a great break-down of what seems like every penny he spent for hotels, food, snacks, etc. as well as the miles travelled, and the amount spent for...

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

That is so awesome! A buddy and I are looking at taking about 6 weeks to do a cross-country trip, and back. I am keeping a keen eye on all of these threads about you guys who are doing the cross country, Alaska, and Arctic Circle trips; trying to get all the knowledge that I can. Safe travels...

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

I am on my 6th spyder and did my first oil change about 3 months ago. My last paid oil change was $400 at my local dealership. Prior to that it was always $262 and I was happy with that. When they went over $400, I was done. The oil change was very easy. I used a stubby 3/8" ratchet in...

2016 F3T ACS (Suspension) won't hold air! Safe to ride? Fixes?

I had a leak in the bag on my 2016 F3T. It would only hold air for about an hour at best. This happened while on a week long trip to the NC mountains. I had stock size tires on the bike and the biggest difference that I saw was a very hard ride whenever hitting a bump. This was with my wife...

Has anybody heard any rumors on the 2025 Spyder Models? New line-up released!

Well, since the title of the thread said something about "rumors", I will go ahead and start one. The F3 series will get a total remake. The RT series did a major redo after a 10 year run (2010-2019), so it is now time for the F3 series to do the same thing. It has remained mostly unchanged...

You knew it had to come - there's a Chinese Spyder!

Looks like they fuzed a spyder and the front of a slingshot, but just smaller.

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

Love that you are doing this. I am keeping track of all you long haulers. I am planning on doing a cross country trip next year. I like to say that I am younger than I will ever be, and probably healthier than I will ever be, so if I want to do it, I am darn well going to try to do it now...

Your Weather News @ June 2024

Well, yesterday hit 103 degrees, a record for the date her in Raleigh, NC. Heat index for the weekend is supposed to be around 106-109. Time for a day trip to the mountains.

From a Goldwing to an Spyder RT Limited ...

You will not be dissatisfied with the performance of the spyder on the dragon. I have a 2021 RTL, a 2008 Suzuki M109, and my wife (although me mostly) rides a 2016 F3L. I am strongly considering giving up 2 wheels for good, as it is just not as good in close call situations, and there are a...

Saddlebag Release Handle has snapped off! Anyone got part #'s or names? Help to open?

They replaced mine on my 2021 RTL under warranty. Those things are a mess. Should have made it more like the ones on the F3T and F3L.

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

Wow! You did well. Most of the 2018-2019 that I have seen, people tend to want nearly as much or sometimes more than I paid for my 2021 RTL. But I must admit that I got a steal. I have owned mine for 18 months now and still have only seen one 2020+ at the price that I paid for mine with 460...

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

I would either look at a 2020+ (possibly a leftover 2023 at a good deal), or take a look at something from 2014-2017. I say that because the basics of the 2014-2017 are like the 2019, except for bluetooth and digital dash, and the earlier models will be cheaper. Seems like most people want as...

Having trouble removing the rear seat - anyone else? Any fixes?

As the title says, I have a 2016 F3L Special Series and I cannot remove the rear seat in order to check the air pressure in the rear air bag. I never had any issues before, but the last 2 times I tried, I could not get it to remove. I am afraid to turn the key too hard because I don't want to...

Any riding roads suggestions for Skyline Drive & Blue Ridge PKW

As the old saying goes, "the best is yet to come" It is always hard pressed to decide which pulloffs to stop at when doing the areas south of where you are now. Each one looks so nice, and then the next one looks even nicer. I can never get enough.

Any riding roads suggestions for Skyline Drive & Blue Ridge PKW

Sounds like you are having a great time. I have a couple of buddies doing this ride right now, but they were going from south to north. This morning they are heading north from Blowing Rock area (they are on slingshots). Once you get to the 421 area and south, you will definitely be tempted...
